About this listen
Are you struggling with invasive, unwanted thoughts?
Is your OCD driving you mad as you mull over your impulsive routines day after day?
If you feel plagued by obsessive behaviors you don’t want, you just found the book that’s going to change your life!
Author Christopher J. Lopez knows where you’ve been and what you put yourself through on a daily basis. He understands how easy it is to continually fall into the trap of guilt and shame by trying to hide your urges and ritualistic behaviors.
Remember, you are not alone! Many of us fight with our thoughts. Some of us might even fear them, which only causes additional anxiety. Others of us have just given up; we’ve resigned ourselves to living within the confines of our OCD symptoms.
Wherever you find yourself on this journey right now is okay. In fact, it’s great because it’s your starting point. Today you have the choice to try something new, and that’s good news!
You can release yourself from disturbing thoughts, break the shackles of shame, and diminish your inner anxieties. You can free yourself completely from intrusive thoughts and be in control of your own mind.
Recover Today from OCD and Intrusive Thoughts will teach you about all the different types of distressing thoughts, the truth behind OCD and its triggers, and why your mind goes into overdrive with an obsessive cycle of compulsive behaviors.
Get this incredible book and you’ll learn various cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques, positive affirmations, and powerful strategies to move beyond your adverse compulsions, so you can focus on living a healthy life and being content within your own soul.

Our future selves are obstinate in repeating the same errors every single time. In this book, I will describe elements in ourselves that contribute to what I call the “stupidity factor” of our future selves. I will present tips and techniques that you can use for taming that incorrigible future self to be less…stupid. Because when you realize your future self is still you, you will most likely behave the same way your present self behaves in the future. That’s an advantage because the future self will never magically change or surprise you with new behaviors. That’s a fact!

Take control of your intrusive thoughts!
This hits home for me, I have suffered in my compulsive thoughts for most of my life. Although i didn't know it wasn't normal until just recently, it still caused me a tremendous amount of pain and suffering. I could obsess all day about one situation in which i wasn't happy about the outcome, replaying it over and over, thinking about what i should have done. I was filled with anxiety all day and the only way to move on from this one thought was to move on to another thought or thoughts that would control my whole mind! I'm so thankful to have found this information that has equipped me with ways to release the thoughts and be in control of my mind. It's literally a huge weight lifted from me, a new way of life i didn't know was possible!

Great book on the nature of intrusive thoughts
This book has terrific information about Intrusive thoughts and how much they can derail your life. The fact that they tend to create such a level of anxiety that we will act out behaviors to help calm it down. Mine is eating. This book is wonderful, easy to identify with, and presents the material in a well-organized manner. Great book for anyone who suffers from intrusive thoughts.

Powerful and Meaningful Message
I am overwhelmingly happy to have discovered Audible. It allows me to listen to books that for decades I have found challenging to find the time to read. The narration on this book is fantastic! I found this book to be extremely helpful in understanding OCD condition and how I choose to deal with it. I found the authors personal journey and desire to share with audience to be unique and welcomed. This book gives much needed advice and ideas on how to deal with day-to-day struggles when your impulses go on overdrive. I strongly recommend.

Knowledge is Key With OCD!!
My very close friend has OCD, and it is very hard to be in her home for too long of a time as she is completely obsessive over the condition of her home and the way things are placed. I say knowledge is key because, just like the example in the book, once she got her diagnosis, and was made aware of her condition, she began to take steps to improve her responses to the normal every day life that occurred around her. This book is very well researched and on point with its facts, and info on this condition. The info flows in a logical and natural manner. The narrator is very engaging and smooth throughout the book!!. I highly recommend this book for anyone with OCD, or those supporting family members with it.

Excellent Explanation of what goes on INSIDE!!!!
I have done a lot of research on OCD! I have searched for answers and this book is utterly amazing at explaining and covering the topic of what goes on in the mind of us people with OCD! I appreciate how much it tells the story of suffering and not just the external stuff everyone else sees and has to "put up with". I wish I had read this book years ago!!!
