About this listen

One moment, completely human and modern-day Carrie Morgan is crocheting in her living room. The next second, a peach alien claiming to be a Celestial Mates agent transports her and her dog 400 years into the future. He leaves her there to be discovered by her supposed fated mate - a blue-skinned cyborg general.

The sly agent failed to mention a few things, like the fact humans and cyborgs are at war with each other! She's certain Freydon Rote is crazy, but as she gets to know the cyborg general, she realizes maybe there's something to the claim that DVS84 is meant to be her mate. Passionate nights further convince her that perhaps she's in the right place at the right time to find her happy ending - if she survives all the challenges of her new environment.

Can a human woman find true love with a cyborg general fighting against her species? Find out in this latest installment in the Celestial Mates series, brought to you by USA Today best-selling author Kit Tunstall, writing as Aurelia Skye.

The narrator has an extremely irritating voice. I couldn’t make it through the first chapter. I’ve read the book, and it’s a great story! Loveable characters and good action. Too bad about the narrator.

Loved the book, HATE the narrator

I felt more vested in this mating. I wanted to very much find out how an Earth woman from over 400 yrs prior was to help end a war she had no part in. Prejudice carries onward in t h e future. Even when it was the people that created the race t h e wanted to eradicate.

The narrator encited me on to continue forward.

More depth and a hint of complexities

I didn’t know what I was getting into other than something to do with Cyborg’s and I have been reading quite a few books lately with Cyborg’s so I was intrigued.

Carrie and her dog Penny get plucked from her cozy home to four hundred years in the future where the humans are at war with the cyborgs.

Only she was plucked by an alien who is also a matchmaker and puts Carrie with DVS84 a cyborg. And tells her she is a vital part in stopping the war.
Carrie is the kind of person who goes with the flow and I loved that she is just herself and others flocked to her.

I hope there are more books because I really enjoyed this book, and being that it was almost 4 and half hours I thought it would be choppy or I wouldn’t understand something but that could be farther from the truth. The book had all the detail to allow you to follow along and still have a really great story,

I loved the narration and I know some said they didn’t like it but I found her tone to match the cadence of the book.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Read the whole series once before and noticed the audio copy was free so I decided to download it... I'm disappointed. The narrator's voice is almost monotone, the character voices are awful, the cadence and word emphasis are clumsy... It's like being back in junior high when a teacher pointed at an unwilling classmate to read out loud.

Good book, bad narration
