About this listen

I was supposed to die and go to Heaven. Too bad I ended up in Hell.

Everyone wants to end up standing at the gates of Heaven, but I took a 90-degree turn into Hell after my fatal car accident, waking up in a dark room with no one and nothing around me except for Adonis, the cheeky third prince of Hell with a killer smile, to tell me all about my impending judgment day.

Next thing I know I'm surrounded by not one, but three demon lords and their father, Lucifer Morningstar. Each of them calls to me on a level I've never felt before, and when it's revealed just how deep the connection goes, it turns out that we'd all do anything to get rid of this curse - all while I might be falling for them in the process.

So these days, I've been thinking: What's the use in being good when it's so fun to be bad?

This book was constructed using various different religious ideas, along with creativity, but the results are a fictional story based in Hell that deals with the classic light and evil debate. It is not in any way meant to offend any listeners.

Great start to a series

Allie had just died and woke up in hell. she's confused because she's in hell and her whole mortal life she did everything she could to get into heaven. Almost immediately she is drawn to the princes of hell Adonis, Amon, and Liam as well as their father Lucifer. she also notes a change in her personality. she's stubborn and unwilling to keep keep her mouth shut to sav her life.

Not a lot truly happens in this book. a little bit of training, a few stolen kisses and words with Lucifer, a random date where she left feeling dejected and a hot and steamy kiss with the jock/book nerd. I'm curious to see where the series will take us

Great Start to a Series!!

I enjoyed this interpretation of Hell!! The details and world building were intriguing. I especially loved Ali; she's a gem!! She ended up going to Hell (despite her best intentions) and she's trying to get a handle on her new "life" all while being drawn to the demon princes and Lucifer himself. She has such real and authentic thoughts of someone who did their best, ended up in Hell, and is just trying to move on despite the odds being stacked against her. There were times when her inner thoughts were a little tedious, sometimes I forgot what action was supposed to be happening because her thoughts were a little rambling. Though, this did lead to some real zingers from Lucifer.
I loved the twist at the end! I did low-key see it coming, but it was still satisfying to see how it played out.
One thing I'd have liked was more perspectives from the other characters. It's told from Ali's POV, but sometimes I wanted to know how the demons were feeling!
The story has mild steam, otherwise it's mostly sexual tension and in some ways a slow burn.
It does end on a mild cliffhanger. And I plan on continuing the series because I wanna know what happens!!

Amy Hall did an excellent job with the narration! She had a distinction between the male voices, and between the inner thoughts and the actual speech of Ali. It felt like she brought live to the characters and I hope she narrates the others in the series!!

Full surprises

Dying expecting to go to heaven but waking in hell. Being attracted to not just the 3 princes of hell but its king too. Throw in a newly died reaper in training threw me until his real purpose became known. Who would have thought Satan would be the one with a heart and Jehovah the villain.

Wow!!! This book is so good. I love how the story draws you in and shows you hints of things to come. The narrator has a great voice for this book, and does the characters justice! I cannot wait to read the rest of the series!!!

New for me but good!

This author is new to me, but I quite enjoyed this book. A good start for an interesting series. The narration fit the book and story very well, and the plot development was executed very well. All in all I can't wait for the next book.

Interesting

I chose this book because I saw that the main character was a stubborn and independent woman that had 4 men in love with her. Once I started to listen to the story, I was happy with what I was hearing, but still times I wanted the heroine to just make a choice and to stand her ground more. I didn't care for the end too much. I don't know if it was because it was a cliff hanger that ended too abruptly or if it was the fact that God was made into the bad guy. Either way, the story was good and I would recommend it to those individuals that know this is a work of fiction that can be appreciated for just that.
