Publisher's summary

A killer comet speeds for Earth, big enough to wipe out all life and choke the atmosphere for a century. When the news breaks, soft-spoken freshman Charlotte Hartland gets caught in a flood of panicked students on her college campus - until a black SUV swoops in to extract her.

Charlotte’s powerful grandfather has saved her a cryosleep berth at the Bunker Reservation Project, a hastily formed effort to save humanity from extinction.

When the idealistic program begins to unravel, Charlotte will have to fight for her place in the future. But the only person who can help her is a hot-headed construction worker with a grudge against her family - and the clock is counting down to disaster.

Enjoyed this one more then the 1st

Liked seeing the world before the event. Charlotte was a great character to follow didn't love Jack but I saw his point of view.
looking forward to the rest of the series and where the story will go.The narrator of this audiobook did a wounderful
job telling the story.

Great Book!

The narration was great, the story even better! I’m very excited to finally read the third and final book to know what happens to everyone we met in the first two books.

The countdown is on

I really enjoyed this audiobook. It has a hearty storyline that you will fall in love with the more you listen. It is not Mindbending nor does it introduce anything new in the genre but it is still a great story nonetheless. You just know that things are going to go awry with a story like this but that’s half the fun is the lead up to when the stuff hits the fan. Our characters are great and you have the brooding young man going after the innocent girl, but that is true and most of our lives. You just love to hate them and it shows that it’s written very well when the characters are frustrating you in one chapter and then you’re totally on their side and laughing at them in the next chapter. The ending will leave you satisfied and ties that many of the loose ends, while it still does leave some questions to the imagination I think that’s good. Perhaps a spin off story in the making? I would read that! The performance was very well done. The narrator gives each character a unique voice whether they are male or female and you can definitely tell the difference of who’s talking. Throughout the entire story there was a consistent pace and she stayed steady throughout. Overall, this is just good wholesome storytelling for the entire family. A great series to get into and I hope there is another book.

Better but still waiting for the actual story

I now see why the series is called bunker and not apocalypse. If you’re looking for a post apocalyptic adventure look somewhere else. Without giving away too much this is more of a pre-apocalyptic adventure. I would recommend mostly because I find the characters much more compelling than in the first book however I still feel like this is the prequel to the actual story. The ending is much more satisfying than in the first but I still feel like I’m missing something! Hope one day we get to know a lot more about what happens to some of these people after shtf!

Great Follow-Up to Wake Me After the Apocalypse!

SPOILER-FREE REVIEW: I loved the first book and after the cliffhanger ending, I was amped for a continuation of the events in book 1. But instead, book 2 rewound all the way back to the beginning, to the moment when Comet Brandon was revealed to the world, and follows a different group hoping to ride out the apocalypse in a cryogenic sleep. There are two entirely new narrators in this, and instead of alternating between past and present like in book 1, book 2 is completely chronological. I’m usually a bit thrown when a sequel follows new characters, but early appearances of some familiar faces, places and event made it fun and super interesting. I found myself instantly invested in both Charlotte and Jack’s plights, especially as they navigated survival from completely opposite situations (Charlotte is the granddaughter of BRP’s top brass and Jack is a construction worker.) Jordan Rivet has a great knack for creating extremely compelling characters and I was quickly invested in this new cast’s survival. There is a ton more world building in this book, which was super interesting and also answered a lot of my questions from book 1. Can’t wait to find out what happens in the final book of the series! (It’s too bad though that there currently isn’t an audiobook for book 3, but I hope that one is recorded in the future!)

Wow!

Meet Me at World's End doesn't continue where book one left off. At first I thought I was listening to a new series until the story sounded familiar. It made it feel like a new and exciting series! Book 2 takes place during the same time as book one, but in a different bunker. This book gives you a feel of how things may play out in the future of this post-apocalyptic series! I can't wait for book 3! Glad to see Kate Marcin continues to narrate the series! She does a fantastic job!

Decent follow on to the first story

Not quite as compelling as the first story, but a solid follow up. I’m hoping there’s at least one or two more to tie these two together and give us glimpses into the world that Rivet has created.

Typical teen angst romance

Boring, no science explaining anything about the comet. Not what I expected. Whiny, angry teenagers

Repeat

This book is similar though not completely the same as book 1. Except for a brief minute at the end, all the action takes place before and in preparation for the comet strike. Similar story but with different characters. Maybe this should have been book 1 instead. The narrator could put a person to sleep. I had to force myself to finish the book. That said, I'll still read or listen to the 3rd book.
