'Twas the night before Catmas...

For soothsayer Journi McCutcheon, last-minute holiday shopping with her grandmother is no winter wonderland. Especially when the wily, wand-wielding old witch declares war on Santa in the middle of a crowded mall to the tune of jingle bells, wailing children, and shouting security guards.

And that's just the tip of the magical mistletoe.

When the discovery of a kitten triggers a disturbing vision that promises tragedy for a local family, Journi and Gramma Jude must put Kris Kringle's would-be slaying on ice to save Christmas.

Before someone's halls really get decked.

Meowy Christmas, Ya Filthy Animal is a laugh-out-loud, stand-alone holiday novella set in the magical world of the Hissing Booth Chronicles - Gemma Thorne's best-selling urban fantasy series.

Can Journi set aside her distaste for both cats and kids to perform a Christmas purracle? Purchase today and find out.

Meowy WOWIE!!!!!

OK, cats and kittens: I was already a die-hard fan of Journi, her wack and witchy family, and the rollicking ride of magical melodrama that pervades Columbus, Ohio of all places. But now? This little Santa snack of a sleigh ride has landed me smack in the holiday spirit. (Spirits?) (Though, I do adjure thee, dear listener: it may not be ideal for the kiddies, mkay? Language; not a lot, but too much for tiny tots. Nefarious goings-on with St. Nick, no less. Like that.) Christmas is saved in the end (yeah, spoiler alert), so you get a satisfying cortisol rush with a happy (if lightly sardonic) ending.

Thanks to the comical, nay brilliant vocal stylings of the always mind-blowing ☆LYNN NORRIS☆, this Yuletide magic is delivered at appropriately breakneck speed with sparkly, tinselly (that's what I said) aplomb, with multiple characters and situations delivered to your elf ears in such a deft way that your wine will be extra-mulled, your tree super-piney, your Nat Cole ever so three-Kingly. It's an audio present to cut the sweet in them sugarplums. Ho-ho-hocus pocus to all!

A little Christmas magic

If you like your Christmas cheer a little on the funny and sarcastic side
as I do, look no further than this charming and uplifting little book. Join Journey and her feisty Grandma Jude (who just happens to be a powerful witch) on an adventure in a city where magic and magical “people” are real, including Santa Claus, of course. Written by Gemma Thorne and narrated by Lynn Norris, this book will bring Audible listeners a little Christmas magic.

Cute Christmas Story

This story is my first experience with the Hissing Booth Chronicles series and it was funny. Journi, a soothsayer in a family of witches, is caught between trying to keep her grandmother from slaying Santa and a vision that predicts tragedy for a nearby family. The story was amusing and short. Lynn Norris' narration is delightful. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

Fun Christmas Story

I really enjoy The Hissing Booth Chronicles and this Christmas entry is no exception.
Starring Journi and her eccentric grandmother, Christmas goes awry when Grandma Jude sees Kris Kringle and chases after him. Their chase leads them on magical hijinks and, to Journi's dismay, a kitten.
I love Grandma Jude she is just so funny and lively. She doesn't just sit back in old age but revels in her magic and helping her granddaughter even if her granddaughter doesn't want it. She is by far my favorite character.
While humorous, Meowy Christmas has great heart and even Journi 's can be melted.
The narration is top-notch and amplifies the story. It's perfectly paired.

I received a free version from the author but all opinions are my own.
