About this listen

Psychic visions are tricky things—especially from a woman in a coma

I find the murdered woman crumpled under a tree. Blood stains her back and her hands are bound. If I touch her, my psychic abilities will show me what happened to her. But I've lived through murders before, and the visions leave scars. Fighting my fear, I touch her—and only see four names—Addlynn Jeanette Claire Margaret.

The unmistakable cry of a newborn infant shatters the calm of the woods. Her body is wrapped around the tiny boy, impossibly small and fragile. I scoop up the screaming infant, and the woman moves to protect her son. She's alive.

Alive, but in a coma—a complete mystery. The detectives, my brother and his handsome partner, desperately need information. I'm the only one who can communicate with the woman. Touching her hand in the hospital provides only snippets of her life. Terrifying snippets, like how she got the scar burned into the palm of her hand.

Visions are tricky things. The details float like smoke—lost in the haze. I can't tell what she's running from, but the woman's terror burns inside me. I will find out who hurt her, and I won't stop until I bring them to a fiery end.

I enjoy the story and the plot. I have a hard time with the "God's love" stuff and God's gift. I rolled my eyes with the religious undertones that can be a little strong.

It is interesting

Good read

I stumbled across this series after listening to Kay Hooper's, Bishop Special Crimes because I was looking for more books along the same lines.
I like the fact that the series is not overly gory and main character is flawed and still uses her gift to help people.
While I'm not anti-religious and everyone seems to use the phrase "OMG" regardless of faith,..this book IMO started to lean towards "God will save us from everything" vibe.
Loved the story line, loved the flawed characters, terrific writing and narration, but I could really use less preaching on the biblical side.

Book 2 was a good furthering of Gabby's story. it got intense and kept me guessing where it was going. I look forward to reading the complete series.

Really enjoying this series

I’m enjoying this series. The characters are real, it’s not propped up with heaving bosoms and blatant sex, rather an intriguing mystery that you can get into which keeps my interest until the story is complete.

Well done and thank you.

Enjoyable series

Toxic family dynamic. Pathetic victim heroine. Can’t stand how depressed and whiny she is. The Jesus tattoo is absolutely ridiculous. There is nothing good about this series. It’s major cringe.

Don’t bother
