About this listen

I should’ve told Milo.
That I loved him.
That I was pregnant.
That I didn’t want anyone else, except him.
But I didn’t.
Instead, I left.
I ran.
Now he’s here, in the hospital after I delivered a baby girl he’s convinced belongs to him.
But the truth is, I have no idea.
I’ve sacrificed so much to keep my past hidden. To keep my baby safe from her other potential father.
It’s a secret I’ll take to my grave.
Or at least, I planned to until Milo forced me to move in with him, causing me and my daughter to pop up on a certain someone’s radar, whom I never wanted to see again.
People might say life gets messy sometimes....
But they have no idea just how much chaos will ensue if the truth comes out, after I’ve done so much to keep it in the past.

There’s a glitch that needs to be fixed

The end of chapter 27 is completely cut off. It ends in the middle of a sentence. Besides that I couldn’t get enough of this book!

Dragged on a little

Parts of it drug on and were frustrating but overall was a great story. The narrator’s male voices were a little weird.

love this book

I am loving this book. But as someone that got pregnant with a guy when all we were doing was having fun and both planning to go our separate ways, I'm not going to lie Mads not telling Milo Everything after being given so many opportunities to do so no matter what, is making me very very mad. He is going to find out at some point, it's inevitable. But all this heart ache and guilt would be fixed so fast if she just told him the truth and got another test done. 🙄

Horrible Narration

The storyline was good enough but was definitely drawn out longer than needed. The narration was horrible. The female character’s voice was whiny and the male character was just a whisper.

Bad recording

I enjoyed the book but you can hear the cuts and the mess ups. It’s not a good recorded audiobook, I enjoyed the overall story though. Just the recording turned me off of it

the series

this is one of my least favorite so far out of the series! the mfc drove me nuts! the repetitive lines. and her needy whiny annoying disposition was ridiculous. but I needed to find out what happened in the story so I did finish it and I'm glad I did it is very heartwarming and worth listening to. it is still my least favorite so far of the set and a couple of the other books that the author has writte. .

Dual POV?

The narrator sounded too young for the part (she should’ve been the younger sister in the previous book). A dual POV book should 1. have equal or close to equal POVs & 2. be narrated by 2 people even if there aren’t many chapters from one POV.

Difficult characters and narration

I loved the first two books in this series and this one was just meh. M was so whiny! Of course the big secret was needed to drive the story forward, but man is it hard to listen to M’s constant internal battle with the truth.
I did not enjoy the narrators voice. Specifically her voices used for different characters. Dove sounded like a high pitched child but worse for me was Milo. The attempted deep “man” voice was pitched so low compared to the rest of the story I often had to turn up the volume past comfortable or rewind a couple times to catch what he was saying. It was like when you’re watching a show at a normal volume but the commercials are blaring, but opposite. I’ve listened to 100+ audiobooks over the past year and this is the first time I’ve felt the need to make a review about a narrator I struggled to listen to. I plan to continue the series and hopefully the next narrator won’t be so distracting from the storyline.

Could have been better

If you can get through the poor narration choice and immaturity level of M then yea it’s a good book. However, the narrator was not the correct pick IMO, she was monotone and low when doing any male parts. She was obnoxious and screechy when narrating the story and female characters. They asked why about 500 times like children do 🤦🏻‍♀️
Overlooking all of that and ya get a story that could have been about 10 chapters shorter

Good book, but had a hard time hearing the person talk

For the actual book, it kept me on my toes and excited. But the back and forth with Milo was just a little repetitive but I guess that’s just his character. The voiceover for this one was a bit rough. One of the chapters completely cut off, there were some awkwardly placed pauses, and my main issue: I had an extremely hard time hearing her for more than half the book when she voiced Milo. I had to turn it up a lot when Milo would talk and then as soon as it returned to Maddy, I had to turn it back down because it returned to a normal volume. This is the only review I’ve done so I hope this makes sense. Good book but the recording needs revision.
