About this listen

She's in way over her head.

Bonnie Drummond is from the wrong side of the tracks, raised in a family of liars and criminals. No matter how hard she tries to stay on the straight and narrow, she always finds herself sucked back into the family drama, forced to sacrifice everything she's earned to protect her family.

But this time they've gone too far—crossed the wrong people—and to save them, she'll have to put her life on the line.

Roman Kozlov, enforcer for a New Orleans mafiya family, is the poster child for the life Bonnie is struggling to escape. But he's also as alluring as he is dangerous, and it doesn't take long for their lives to begin to mesh.

With Roman, Bonnie finds the family she never had.

As their race for answers heats up, so too does the budding romance between them. And with danger nipping at her heels and love threatening her heart, Bonnie must come face-to-face with her past if she wants to have a future.

His To Keep!

This final book in the NOLA Knights Series was just as good as the previous two. Roman and Bonnie were such a perfect pair... and yes she was definitely His To Keep!! They definitely deserved each other and the happiness they could bring one another. I loved everything about this story and, as with the two stories before it, it was difficult to put down once I began to listen to it. John Lane is just simply spectacular narrating in a Russian accent and of course all the other voices he narrates are just as well done. This series is definitely one I will listen to over and over again!!

Another enjoyable read from Rhenna Morgan

While Rhenna Morgan's books in this series (and the lead-in series: Men of Haven) are starting to get overly formulaic, Mine to Keep is still an enjoyable read. The characters are more-or-less given substantial identities and you root for them. The men in the Men of Haven series, however, had much stronger individual identities that were touched on across multiple books so the reader was often familiar with them to a degree with each progressing story. As well, they were all different enough to be identifiable when one's name is mentioned. The world Rhenna created was much more thought through and developed over the course of the books. SPOILERS!! The Nola Nights' lead: Serge was also introduced in the Men of Haven series and my impression was that this series is supposed to be taking that same concept as its predecessor. However, there doesn't seem to be the same sense if identity for these men... they all come from Russia and have stories similar enough and not built up as much by Ms. Morgan that, three books in, they're feeling a bit interchangeable to me. As are the heroins. I'm sure I'll continue to read them as they come out, but I'm hoping she comes up with something new for the next book. Perhaps a local guy. The whole point of these groups or "families" is they're conceived out of circumstance, and developed through trust and loyalty. They're in New Orleans... perhaps they need to have a New Orleans guy in the mix.

John Lane is awesome as always. :)

Light and likeable

I love this series but it’s not dark by any means. But you will laugh, feel a little steam and a whole lotta Russian/Southern charm. Should be on the plus catalog.

A great ending to the series

Waiting for Roman’s story. It was worth the wait! Loved Bonnie for him! Totally recommend this series! And John Lane is great as always!

Repetitive

I bought this on impulse. I really liked book two of the series, and I liked how Roman came across in that book. I bought this one thinking I would love reading his love story. Instead, it felt like a rinse and repeat of the second book and the villain was largely absent for most of the book.
