Publisher's summary
Detective Rebecca Watson of the Eugene Falls Police Department is getting ready for her Drill Weekend in the Navy Reserves, when she gets the call from her lieutenant. He wants her to check a crime scene of a serial killer, who was severely injured during an automobile accident while transporting bodies in 55-gallon drums. Her boss believes this is an open and shut case, but upon further investigation Watson realizes the serial killer had a partner. While working the case, she is activated in the Navy onboard the USS Vella Gulf.
While working onboard the ship, she uncovers there may be a serial killer on the Vella Gulf who is murdering prostitutes in each port. Nothing can prepare her for the gauntlet of turmoil and trouble that may lead to her demise by uncovering the true motive behind the murders. Relentlessly pursuing two unknown serial killers, one at home and one at sea throws Watson into emotional disorder as she fights to keep control—driven to bring these monsters to justice.

"I'm going down now", I said to a young woman a few seconds before the darkness-my first cardiac arrest. As I returned to work as a behavioral coach, it became maddening to hear about all-consuming, everyday problems and misguided priorities while I fought to merely remain conscious. The Half-Known Life challenges conventional thinking of success, identity, and personal change. Most often, truly profound change happens following events that shake someone to their core-a car accident, death of a family member, or cardiac arrest that pulls them into a moment of clarity.

Story
Guy Montag is a fireman. In his world, where television rules and literature is on the brink of extinction, firemen start fires rather than put them out. His job is to destroy the most illegal of commodities, the printed book, along with the houses in which they are hidden. Montag never questions the destruction and ruin his actions produce, returning each day to his bland life and wife, Mildred, who spends all day with her television "family."

Story
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

Story
Narrator Dan Stevens ( Downton Abbey) presents an uncanny performance of Mary Shelley's timeless gothic novel, an epic battle between man and monster at its greatest literary pitch. In trying to create life, the young student Victor Frankenstein unleashes forces beyond his control, setting into motion a long and tragic chain of events that brings Victor to the very brink of madness. How he tries to destroy his creation, as it destroys everything Victor loves, is a powerful story of love, friendship, scientific hubris, and horror.

Rebecca Watson is ALL THAT!
Rebecca Watson is a wonderfully written detective who you can't help but fall in love with. She takes on two cases, one involves a serial killer who was killed during a police chase and the partner is still on the loose. her second case takes out to sea on the USS Vella Gulf where she uncovers one of the sailors on board may be responsible for killing prostitutes' in each port they have pulled into in Central and South America. The writing is crisp, characters well-written and the story is very readable. Impossible to put down. Great detective story.

Great Storytelling!
Aracelis Gotay is an outstanding storyteller. She has a wonderful voice and brings out the best of each character. Minutes to Midnight is an amazing story about Detective Rebecca Watson who uncovers a second serial killer is loose in her city. The more she uncovers the case, the stranger things become.
