About this listen

Prolific and popular author Dan Gutman launches a fun new series with this tale about second-grader A.J. and the unusual school he attends. On the first day of class, A.J. tells Miss Daisy he loves football and video games but hates school. Then Miss Daisy tells him she hates school, too, and the students think their teacher just might be an impostor.

Critic reviews

“Reluctant students will have no trouble relating to A.J., and breezy Miss Daisy illustrates how respecting kids and balancing learning with fun can produce positive results.” ( Booklist)

Good Teaching Methods

I feel that the author put in some work with this series. Not only do the readers learn facts throughout, but the author has clearly done his research on how to get through to younger audiences: make them think adults are dumb. As a mother, I like the series so far and so do my children.

Funny!

My six-year-old daughter loved this story! She laughed and tried to answer the questions the teacher had asked. Cute story.

How Miss Daisy may or may not know much

I like the voices and characters, and dislike that it’s really short. But overall, I think it’s really amazing of a story!

My 6-yr old loved this!

We just discovered Audible books and have been looking for something suitable for long car rides or times when my children don’t feel like reading. This book is great. It’s silly and funny. My daughter was laughing out loud at times. Plan to listen to the other books in this series.
