Good Teamwork!

Miss Hewitt works with her team to solve this murder/mystery in her usual capable and unflappable manner.
The short and quick moving story held my interest and each piece of the puzzle soon fell into place.
I listened to Julia Eve narrate this murder/mystery using her various voices to let us know who was doing the talking. This was well done, as usual and my review above is unbiased and given voluntarily.

Historical Mystery Solved Quickly and Efficiently

Miss Hewitt Investigates the Suspicious Suicide is the third audiobook published in the Miss Hewitt series. The title character is lady detective Miss Isabel Hewitt and the setting is 1915 London, at a time when Great Britain is at war with Germany. In this story Isabel is asked to look into the suicide of Leah Peveril in the hope that the girl did not kill herself as the police suspect.

Isabel begins her investigation and soon discovers that Leah had been leading a double life. Thankfully, Isabel and her team methodically tract down the killer in short order. Like I mentioned in my review of the first book, I’d really like to know how Isabel developed such great investigation skills and how she appears to be independently wealthy.

I listened to the Audible version of this story narrated by Julia Eve, which runs about 2 1/2 hours long. Her narration was very enjoyable and she really bought the characters to life, using a variety of distinct voices. In summary, I’m looking forward to listening to other books narrated by Julia Eve.
