Publisher's summary

Lana Montgomery is everything the quirky small town of Moose Springs, Alaska can't stand: a rich socialite with dreams of changing things for the better. But Lana's determined to prove that she belongs...even if it means trading her stilettos for snow boots and tracking one of the town's hairiest Christmas mysteries: the Santa Moose, an antlered Grinch hell-bent on destroying every bit of holiday cheer (and tinsel) it can sink its teeth into.

And really...how hard could it be?

The last few years have been tough on Rick Harding, and it's not getting any easier now that his dream girl's back in town. When Lana accidentally tranquilizes him instead of the Santa Moose, it's clear she needs help, fast...and this could be his chance to finally catch her eye. It's an all-out Christmas war, but if they can nab that darn moose before it destroys the town, Rick and Lana might finally find a place where they both belong...together.

Yes Yes Yes 😍

Okay so I just finished The Tourist Attraction and saw that she had another book set in the same world so I HAD to read it. Let me tell you...it does NOT disappoint! Ugh I want to go to Alaska so bad now 😂 I love the storyline and that the characters have real reactions and personalities. I seriously hope she continues to tell the stories of other people in Moose Springs. I at least need one about Diego and Quinn...and everyone else lol

Christmas at Moose Springs

I enjoyed returning to Moose Springs with Lana and Rick’s story. This book was a good break from daily life, taking me to a small Alaskan town with quirky characters, cool pets, and great scenery. It made me smile and helped me relax.
The audible version enhanced the reading experience.

Fun holiday read

This was a fun holiday read filled with an eclectic cast of characters appropriate for Alaska. It would be fun to be made into a movie.

Ehhhh

I’m not sure if I really liked this story. Or was painful to get through. I didn’t enjoy the narration at all. It was cute 🤷🏼‍♀️

Charming!

I adore this series! The tiny town of Moose Springs, Alaska is in danger of becoming obsolete. The residents are close knit and reject even a whiff of tourism, but they need tourism dollars to survive. What to do, what to do! In this corner is Lana Montgomery, of the rich and powerful Montgomery group, who plans on building town-saving condominiums on the mountainside. In the opposing corner is small-time pool hall owner Rick Harding, who is barely getting by while struggling to support his orphaned nephew. Oh, there’s also a Christmas-hating rampaging moose on the loose. This audiobook is charming and delightful in every way, I loved it!

Disappointed!

I read the first book in this series and decided to get the audiobook for the second one. I regret that.

I have no idea if I would have enjoyed this book if I had read it myself, but listening to this was a constant grating on my nerves. She was terrible at knowing what words to emphasize. And throughout the entire book she sounded like she was doing a completely fake always happy voice. I couldn’t wait for it to be over.

So awful, what a disappointment!

An epic fail as follow up to The Tourist Attraction. I absolutely loved everything about that story! In this book, I didn't find the chemistry or relationship between Lana and Rick very convincing. It felt forced and not natural. Rick is too much of a sad sack and I didn't buy Lana's poor little lonely rich girl routine. The story just got worse as it went on. The romantic scenes were cringeworthy.

The narration was not great. It is the same narrator as the first book, but something is off in the delivery this time. There are odd mid sentence pauses and emphasis is often placed on the wrong words. It was awkward and stilted and negatively impacted my enjoyment of the story. I tried speeding up and slowing down narration speed, but it didn't help.

Boring and slow

I forced myself to finish this book, it was so slow and I had to accelerate it just to make it sound like a normal person was talking. The story could have been good but it seems like the interesting part was only the last couple of chapters, whenever something good was happening the author quickly went on to the next chapter without giving much detail, I’m really disappointedly at this book
