Vengeance from beyond the grave

The Story
This as a good ghost story of a beautiful young woman, killed before her time, and back to deal out some spooky justice.

The Narration
The narrator expertly delivers the story in strong accent that adds nicely to the feel of the story.

Well written, but lacking in places

I found this to be a well written ghost story about the legendary "Woman in White," although it was more tragic than scary, which wasn't a bad thing. Rinelle Harkin does a good job narrating. I'm not very good at recognizing accurate accents, but her Scottish accent seemed legit. My only criticism is that, possibly due to the short length, the story felt a little lacking in detail at a couple of points. The writing was excellent, and I found it quite interesting, but it really could have been a bit longer. This would have given the plot more room to mature and flesh out. Even so, I enjoyed it.

Moira Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark

Great short ghost story. Listened to it twice just to make sure I didn't miss anything the first time. Reminds me of some of the classic scary story anthologies from when I was younger. Nothing too scary but overall it was a neat story which sounded like an elegant telling of folklore.
Rinelle Harkin really makes this story shine. Her narrator voice is what I would call an American accent but the dialogue was in a harsh Scottish accent. Done very well and really brought this story to life. Her reading of this made it sound more like poetry than prose.
Look forward to more from both the author and the narrator.

Very short ghost story

The only thing wrong with this story is it is too short. It is a tragic tail of Moira, the Lady in White, whose life was cut too short. Lachlin wants to know her story. But what price will he pay?

Christina Paul has done a really good job with writing this story but I have to admit that Rinelle Harkin has done an amazing job with her narration. Her Sottish accent is spot on, it is strong and rich, and really brings the chill to the story. I will be looking for more books by both of them.

A satisfying short ghost story

Moira is a fantastic little ghost story, very satisfying to read. Ms. Paul, the writer, has some serious story telling skills and I would love to read more of her work. The story has great character development for such a short tale (only 17 minutes!) and packs a real punch at the end. It has an old world feel in that it seeks to teach a lesson…it almost reads like a fable. Ms. Harkin, the narrator, is totally fantastic. She brought this story to life with real passion and a heartfelt performance that conveyed the character’s raw emotions. Based on what I’ve heard I think that this narrator could take on a long, difficult novel – her talent stands out amongst the rest - she’s a true professional. Thank you to the author, the narrator, and audiobookboom for a complimentary copy of Moira. This review is unbiased and unsolicited.

Wonderful short story of the lady in white

Wow I was not expecting a Scottish accent at the beginning of this story and man does it really bring it to life. Rinelle Harkin has done an excellent job narrating this wonderful short ghost story about the lady in white. You do get in to the story from the start and it really captivates you until all of the sudden it ends and you are left feeling wtf wow I did not see that coming. Brilliant work and definitely worth the small price. I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom. Looking forward to more by Christina Paul in the future.
