About this listen

Now reedited and brought up to par with later entries.

A conqueror is only as strong as his assets...and for Auroro, assets can come in the form of dozens of varieties of monster girls.

After telling a goddess of love and passion that I would conquer her, I was dropped into another world: Mistrim.

I have no memory of who I was, I have a wicked awesome power born from my desires, and I have a timer on my arm counting down to my death.

Not the worst starting point, I would say.

But where there is adversity, there is the opportunity for good fortune.

Elves, werewolves, harpies, bunny girls, and more—Mistrim is inhabited by all manner of monsters given humanoid forms—Sentients. And, as I found out, harems are commonplace in Mistrim. I can already feel something awakening in me.

Hmm? That pesky timer? I can add time to my lifespan by engaging in activities that only a goddess of love and passion would approve of. A playful one, that one.

Hold on, a beautiful elf is looking at me funny.... She must be enamored with my visage. Oh, wait, she looks angry.

It wasn't funny to me. No char acts with sane motivations. It's a cartoon world with cartoon chars.

not for me

This was a fun story but there was way too much monolog about the nature of magic. If all the monologuing had been cut out it would have been way better.

Ok story, lots of monolog

For those like me who have grown tired of human on human fantasy relationships this is a great listen main character is not op nice setting and the side characters don't take a backseat to the hero. not a slow burn when it comes to fun time either.

great start to a new adventure

I took a chance on this unknown (at least to me) author and narrator. I'm glad I did. This was a really good book. It's a little quirky but I enjoy that . Erin Bateman does a great job as usual and Andrew is pretty good as well.

I took a chance and it paid off.

I expected this to be a perverted fantasy tale and I was not disappointed. I was surprised by how well written it was and the fact that the characters actually had some depth to them. so looking forward to the next book

surprisingly good

The series starts of like more modern Sakai, with the MC meeting a goddess of lust and desire and then being transported to this new world with Elves and monster girls in it. And of course, without his memories. All he remembers is that he wants to get revenge on and bang the goddess that sent him there. Will he succeed?

Since the goddess likes to mess with the MC, he is also fitted with a timer on his wrist that counts down to his death.
How does he fill up said counter? You guessed it, he has to bed women(?) and the stronger the soul the more time he gets allocated to his timer. (This countdown timer is also a plot used in the movie In Time from 2011, give it a watch as well.)

The dual narration is excellent, nothing to complain about here. Good distinct voices for all characters.

It is also nice seeing books being longer than the usual 7,5hours. It gives the story time to build up and it doesn't feel as rushed.

Great narration. The narrator did an amazing job with all the character voices and really kept the story interesting for me.

I love auroro. He is a fun character who never takes anything too seriously, which is a nice change from more serious series.

The narration only serves to make it better, with the male voice adding ettra character to him, and the female voice really selling how completely irrational she finds him.

This book is just fun.

This book totally reminds me of the anime Interspecies Reviewer and is probably more fun. Besides one gratuitously long intimate scene, very solid book and I'll be waiting for the next one!
