The monster-girl-filled action and magical battle adventure through the fantastical world of Mistrim continues!
Self-proclaimed conqueror Auroro and his contracted guide, Rynissie, have hit the road. They have had a simple errand (read: most important task) entrusted to them and are heading to the cave-elf city of Cerulean-in-the-Mountain.... Or at least that was the plan. Auroro has decided to be efficient.
They're going to do some jobs along the way and make some money! Sounds simple enough, right? Unfortunately, things are not normal in the forests of Viridia. Reports of strange monsters, disturbed ambient mana, and travelers getting lost in the woods overnight point Rynissie to a certain conclusion.
Rynissie suspects Underland, a plane of existence within Mistrim where games and rhymes come to life, is leaking its weirdness into the forest. For Rynissie, it's just another decade in the forest, but as Auroro is about to find out, things are never easy when Underland is involved.... At least it will be one heck of a time.

Book 1 Review
A little context for my review. I tend to take it easy on the first and last book of any series as not every series makes it to “The End” and the first of anything can be a shaky endeavor, to say the least. I also try to make clear the distinction between the quality of the writing/performance of the author/narrator and my personal tastes should they differ. This is the first book that I have gotten for Sebastian Guzman and the first time that I've listened to a performance by Andrew Pond. This story is performed by a single narrator. The narration in my opinion was top notch. At the time of this review the narrator appears to have approximately 39 other audiobooks up on audible. As for the writing I believe that it was solid all around and when you take that into account for the first of a new series that's fairly impressive in and of itself. This is the first audiobook for this author, and it appears to have been the first book the author ever put up on Amazon. This series has five entries thus far and the author has the first book of two additional series’ available up on Amazon. In other words, he appears to be a relatively new author in the beginning of his career. The story begins with our hero, if you can call him that, awakening in front of a goddess who makes a deal with him where he has to go down and collect a bunch of women in order to win his way back to her and take her for his own. In the beginning of the story, it appears as though our hero may have misinterpreted the deal, but due to the fact that he's got a countdown to his death which was only minutes away upon entering the new world it is arguably understandable why he wouldn't be so focused on the details for which I will remind everybody that the devil is in the details. Now for me personally the opener was something that I'm personally not a fan of. So much so that it definitely puts me on the fence as to whether or not I would want to continue the series. To be clear this is a matter of personal tastes and has nothing to do with the quality of the writing. As the book progresses it does get better in my opinion. Lastly, I'm just going to say thank you to everybody who had a hand in bringing this book to us the audible listeners.
Yeah, I'm going to recommend this series.
