About this listen

Rancher Adam Sloan is more than meets the eye. As the heir to his Pack, the sexy werewolf's biggest challenge is keeping his kin's true nature under wraps. But a group of jaguar shifters threatens to reveal the pack, blasting into town killing humans in plain sight. And when he smells one at the local diner, his standing orders are to take her out.

Lana Turpin doesn't realize she's a moving target. Raised in the foster system, she only knows that she blacks out during the new moon and wakes up without remembering a thing. But now she's being tracked by some strange organization that wants her back - even though she's never stepped foot inside their compound. And the stranger across the diner is watching her like an enemy.

It should be a simple mission for Adam, but when he touches the frustratingly beautiful Lana, his inner wolf howls...mate. Now, the two must find and stop the people who hunt her...and Adam must keep his own family from killing the only woman he will ever love.

Each book in the Moon series is a stand-alone, full-length story that can be enjoyed out of order.

Entertaining, Exciting, shifter romance!

This is terrific! Loved the premise and loved the characters! Add in some awesome shifters and I'm super happy! The listening experience was great! Loved the male and female dual narration! Excited to listen to the next books in the series! Love Lisa Kessler's books! Really looking forward to reading more in this series, and more from Lisa Kessler! In Moonlight, Lana has some people after her and at first she isn't sure why. When she runs into Adam, things become clear when he tells her she's a shifter as well. There's a problem though, she's a jaguar shifter and Adam is a wolf shifter, and wolf shifters and jaguar shifters don't really get along. When Adam recognizes Lana as his mate, he knows his pack won't be too accepting of Lana. Loved that scenario! Love the element of danger and suspense with the people after Lana, and there's a bit of mystery surrounding a secret organization. The romance is sweet and sexy, and Lana and Adam are too cute! I also loved the side characters, and am looking forward to their stories! Definitely looking forward to the audio!

Just okay for me..

Okay, overall. I did like Adam and Lana and it was a good story line, but it was quite a bit repetitive. And, again, the author introduces someone for most of the book and you grow to like him, and she kills him off. I really hated that part. And if authors do that once she or he do it again, so I probably won’t read LK again.

There were 4 sex scenes that were pretty graphic so if you like a lot of sex in your books then this is definitely for you. And the F-bomb was used 25 times.

As to the narration: It was just kind of ho-hum. Not real horrible and not memorable either.

The book turned out amazing! I loved listening to Adam and Lana’s story come to life. By listening to the book, I was able to close my eyes and watch the story unfold. I look forward to hearing the other books in the series.

Good Paranormal

This book was a good start to this Wolf and Jag paranormal series. It was a little slow going in the beginning for me but eventually picked up. It will be interesting to see Adam and Lana take on the next chapter in their life. There's a lot of unanswered questions and other characters that piqued my interest.

Liked the story, not so much the narrators

I enjoyed the plot but the female narrator’s voice got on my nerves. She read everything so straight with little inflection and I also didn’t care for the tonal quality. But I enjoyed the story very much. I increased the voice speed to get thru it.

Original paranormal romance story.

Amazing well written book by Lisa Kessler. The storyline is very different from any other book i have read. I love how she developed the characters so that you got to know them more intimately. Kudos and I can't wait to read the second book.

Interesting shifter romance

This book is about the relationship between two shifters. It is the first book in a series. There is some world building and set up of an ongoing conflict which continues through the series.

The narration was well done.

DNF

Chapter 4 and I had to return it. The male narrator (Phillip Church) really was not enjoyable, very choppy reading and no inflection... reminds you of the computer generated voices that read your texts messages aloud...

The story wasn't for me, I love a good paranormal story, this story felt written very immaturely... characters not very well developed. Conversation between characters felt forced and awkward.
