Publisher's summary

People in Adenville are breathing a sigh of relief. It seems that Tom D. Fitzgerald, the Great Brain, has truly reformed. For months, not one kid has been swindled and not one stunt has been pulled. But when he gets a new bike for Christmas, the Great Brain heads full speed into his old ways. And this time his ideas are bigger than ever.

He puts all of Adenville in fear of a prehistoric beast from Skeleton Cave, solves a mysterious bank robbery, and captures the ghost of Silverload Mine. Don’t look now – the Great Brain is at it again!

An outstanding review of an American classic!

Where does More Adventures of the Great Brain rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

My favorite fiction audio book, just beating out it's predecessor "The Great Brain". Most of the audio books that I listen to are non-fiction, but I do not think it a fair comparison between fiction and non-fiction.

What other book might you compare More Adventures of the Great Brain to and why?

The Great Brain

What does Ron McLarty bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He vocalizes the characters in a way that brings you into the story... even when he is the 'narrator', he has it similar enough to JD (the character that is telling the story of the Great Brain), but distinct enough to make it clear that he is acting as the narrator.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The Great Brain series were the books that I used to practice my reading on... it was my favorite series growing up, so much of my reaction to the book was sentimental and very pleased at how the narrator captured the story and characters so well.

Any additional comments?

I really hope that the rest of the Great Brain series will be made available at Audible... preferably with the same narrator.

Read the first book first and all the other ones

It’s a great book overall but if you did not read the first one then you will not understand most parts of the book.

Hilarious family favorite

My three children (15, 12, and 9) and I listen to lots of audiobooks, and this book and its prequel have been two of our hands-down favorites. We all laugh out loud, even after multiple listenings. We'd love to see more of the books in the Great Brain series become available as audiobooks!!

Like the Sandlot in that it never gets old.

Great stories that I loved as a kid and still enjoy as an adult. My kids now love this series.

Excellent Book

My 11yr old son enjoyed this book. Nothing really keeps his attention except sports, but the narration and plot kept him wanting to finish the book.

Classic Wholesome Entertainment

I have treasured the Great Brain books since I was a child. I enjoy them as much now as an adult. In today’s hustle here and hustle there lives we all experience, listening to the Great Brain books a little bit during the day or evening helps relax the mind and spirit. The story is engaging from start to finish, and the reader does a great job of making it pleasant to listen to the whole time. I wish Audible would finish the series (another 5-6 books). I’d purchase them all! Thank you Audible. :-)
