A good collection of original short stories. The narration had a good pace and voice inflection.

I thought this was a good collection of scary stories. Didn't find the too horrific but they had good plots that I enjoyed. There were a few that really had me hooked while some I don't even remember what happened, typical with collections. I like Jim Masters narration, not sure who edits the stories but i have yet to hear a book with him narrating that doesn't have editing issues. You can hear him say "ping" right after he fumbles over a sentence. Then you hear the repeat of that line. It just becomes the scratch on the new car that you can't help but look at every time. The one aspect of the narration that I really enjoyed was the background sounds. I have always thought those made the production so much more better. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

The only decent story was "The Visitor" because it was more of a true paranormal tale. I really hated "The Black Cat" (SPOILER ALERT) I didn't like the abuse of a kitten the wench got what she deserved. I was prepared to give this book a pretty decent review but that one story pissed me off. Jim Masters is an excellent narrator but even he couldn't save these stories. This is my honest review.
