Publisher's summary

Callie Henderson had to fight to put her tragic past behind her, but now the up-and-coming player in the hospitality industry is well on her way to happiness. She has her sights set on the lead renovation position at the Sunset Harbor Inn—an inn that just happens to be owned by Sam Edwards, the man who comforted her in her grief and gave her one night of passion before walking away.

Sam is searching for someone who can turn his quaint inn into a premier boutique hotel. He just never expected that someone to be the one woman who knows his deepest secrets. But he needs Callie, and Callie needs the job. Throw in a talking parrot with a cracker addiction, some uncooperative islanders, and enough sexual sparks to light a beachside bonfire, and they’ve got their work cut out for them.…

More to Give is a story of heartbreak and healing, of facing the past…and having the courage to believe in a future.

Love Anchor Island!

If you could sum up More to Give in three words, what would they be?

Communication is key!

What other book might you compare More to Give to and why?

I have had a few series that I have enjoyed but this series has a special feel to it that I can't compare to anything I have read before.

Which character – as performed by Amy Rubinate – was your favorite?

Sid

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the email was sent from Sam to Callie that she was no longer needed at the Inn after the renovations were complete.

Any additional comments?

I would love for this series to continue with the many characters that were introduced in these stories! Sad to have the series end!

It's well written and the story and characters are maturing along the instalments.

Anchor Island Series

This is the 4th book in the series and was my least favorite. I still enjoyed the book very much but loved the 3 others in the series a lot more. I also love Amy Rubinate who narrates this series. She brings these characters to life. You really can't go wrong listening to this series of books. It is a great easy listen especially on a summers day. Enjoy.

A funny, cute story that's a delight to listen to!

The fourth installment in the Anchor Island series is definitely one of the best! Teri Osburn weaves humor in with the romance as she unravels the tale of Sam Edwards, who has inherited two hotel properties on Anchor Island under the condition that he continues to reside there for at least three years; and Callie Henderson, who has been hired to oversee the reformation of one of Sam's properties. There's a history between these two as their respective ex-spouses were running off together when they were both killed in a car accident. Sam and Callie spent one intimate night together shortly afterwards and haven't seen each other since. Callie's job gets more demanding when Sam signs on to host a wedding party at the inn and pushes the timeline that Callie has to transform the 100+ year old inn to less than 4 months. Taking the characters on Anchor Island, Callie's mother and best friend, and throw in a talking circus parrot make for such a heart-warming funny story that you won't be bored for a minute during the entire book! I read this book after finishing one of those stories filled with angst and tension, so this was a much-needed delightful diversion. You will love it too!

Disappointing narration

How unfortunate that Ms Rubinate was compelled to gush throughout this one... I have enjoyed reading all four Anchor Island books and also listening to the first three audiobooks. Sadly, the narration on this one is disappointing. Most of the dialogue of the leading characters is sing-songy and gushy. Bleh.

Narrator accent distracting

This was a great end of the series. However the narrator was supposed to do Southern accents and I found that in the middle of the book particularly during intimate scenes the accent was distractingly exaggerated and at one point made me actually want to not listen to the book. Overall a good story though a bit convoluted toward the end to understand how the romantic leads had misinterpreted each other or how they even figured out what was happening but again the narrator it was distracting

A great change... enjoyed the series

Uplifting, not one of those old fashioned stories that were all the same except for the names.

Not overly full of sex scenes described for pages and impossible to ever figure out two people could manage without serious injury - tasteful yet erotic enough to leave imagination.

Reader is great. I look for her other works.
