About this listen

He fights fires for a living, but the flames building between us may be too big to extinguish.

Niko West is the most beautiful man I’ve ever laid eyes on: six feet, four inches of broody, chiseled Greek god in a firefighter suit.

He’s also been my best friend since kindergarten. He always says the only solid thing in his life is our friendship. He’s Honey Mountain's favorite player and I’m what you’d call "a relationship girl".

But when I find myself single for the first time since turning sixteen, I make Niko an offer he can’t refuse. Who better to show me what I’ve been missing?

But now that we’ve crossed that line, I don’t know if friendship is enough for me...

Simple and Sweet

This is a simple and sweet story about friends becoming lovers and I simply adored it. Small town romances are some of my faves because you fall in love with both the leads and the rest of the town - this was exactly that. Recommend for an easy, sweet read. The narrators were fantastic !

A nice sweet romance

This was a typical sweet romance story. I enjoyed it. The second I knew what the twist was going to be I was in knots but a nice sweet happily ever after for our childhood best friends!

Magnificent storyline and audio! OBSESSED!

“It’s always been you. You just weren’t mine yet.”

Wow wow wow! Always Mine is the first book in the Honey Mountain series and was so much more than I was expecting! I am now addicted to Laura Pavlov’s writing! Her plot development and style of writing had me completely captivated in Niko and Vivian’s story! Their journey from friendship to love is charming with a heartbreaking past, included incredible characterization, and incorporated the best conversations between the two of them. Did I mention that the audio version is also top notch perfection? It completely brought Nico and Vivian to life in the best way! I cannot wait to dive into this whole series!

“We came from two different worlds in so many ways… my heart hard and her heart soft and tender; yet we shared a lot of similarities as far as loyalty and loss and all the bullshit we’d both been through.”

Best friends to lovers is one of my favorite troupes and this book delivered on it!!! I fell in love with Niko and Vivian from the start as their personalities and deep connection shined through on every page. You could feel their bond which made the storyline so believable and easy to read. They also shared heartbreaking pasts that were emotional and touching. However, things start to shift after Vivian gets drunk at the bar one night. She spilled to Nico that she didn’t think sex with her ex-boyfriend was all that great and suggested that he could show her how it’s done. What happens now? Do you ignore it or help out a best friend? Meanwhile other drama is happening in town as Nico’s father is about to get out of prison. So much is happening in Honey Mountain you don’t want to miss!

I haven’t listened to Sarah McEwan or James Gloucester before but I absolutely LOVED their voices for these characters! Sarah had the perfect upbeat and cheerful voice for Vivian while James had a deep, manly tone that is so delectable to listen to for Nico! They were so enjoyable together as narrators and gave a magnificent performance! I will definitely be looking for more books by these narrators!

Sweet, if a lil predicable

If you like sweet with a hint of spice, angst and suspense, this is your book. I enjoyed this books multiple characters. But I prefer a bit more heat and grit to a story for a 5 star. Still worthy
