About this listen
Eliza Budley is a beautiful widow whose husband gambled away his fortune. Lady Fortescue reminds the others that, to be fair, Mrs. Budley has no relatives on whom she can call. Gentle Mrs. Budley thinks she has escaped her fate until Sir Philip comes up with a plan: He has heard that the elderly Marquess of Peterhouse is senile, a widower, extremely rich, and unlikely to remember whether Mrs. Budley is a relative or not. So off Mrs. Budley goes to the bleak castle where the marquess turns out to be not so old, hardly senile, and, in fact, quite handsome.
The loveable characters from the Poor Relation Hotel return in this sparkling and adventurous Regency from Marion Chesney.

I love this series. Beaton has created a wonderful cast of characters that the reader wants to spend time with and see how they resolve their predicaments. Davina Porter does an awesome job of reading this tale.Who was your favorite character and why?
It's be grand fun following Ms. Budley and seeing her slowly growing stronger.Have you listened to any of Davina Poter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I love Davina Porter as a narrator. I have actually ended up listening to books that I would ordinarily skip over simply because she is the performer.Clever Regency Mystery

What made the experience of listening to Mrs. Budley Falls from Grace the most enjoyable?
I am totally hooked on this series. Ms. Poter's narration is wonderful. I am delightedby the main character's personalities and can't wait for the next book to see what
they get involved in this time.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Sir Philip is the most colorful character. He is a rake, kind, hateful, sweet, andtotally unpredictable.
What does Davina Poter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I have listened to her narations of M.C.Beaton and enjoyed them but this series is herfinest performance. Her characters come alive. She deserves 5 stars for this
narration.
