Can't go wrong with any Carson Reno Mystery

Memphis PI Carson Reno manages to get himself in all kinds of trouble in this one. He needs to catch a killer, before they convict him!

As ussual there are plenty of light hearted scenes as well. I am convinced Marcie is really the brains of the outfit.

great mystery

Great multilayered mystery. I was wondering how Carson would get out of this one, and the answer was spectacular- kill two birds with one stone!! I didn't see it coming, nor did I guesd all the real good guys in the story. It held my interest to the very end. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life.

GREAT !

MURDER MY DARLING BY GERALD W DARNELL is the 17th book in the Carson Reno detective series.

This is my second book in the series I have listened to. Carson Reno is a detective in the sixties and in this book Reno gets himself into trouble again . This time, Reno is accused of murdering multiple people, including a romance writer, who wanted to hire Reno to protect her and her current manuscript. Reno gets to the boat where he finds his soon to be client stabbed to death and the manuscript gone.

Each of the Carson Reno books can be read as stand alone books . Mr. Darnell makes that very easy as, in each of his books he gives a recap of Carson's profile. The books are fun and the mysteries are twisty enough to keep you guessing. Tom Lennon does the narration and as always, does a very good job.

I received this audiobook free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Love this Series

Carson Reno has become one of my favorite detectives. He isn't deliberately funny, but certainly qualifies as a character by any definition you may want to use.
In this one he starts out as the accused murderer and naturally ends up not only clearing himself. but solving a very cleverly laid out case.
You can tell the narrator is enjoying the story as much as the listener. That's not a bad thing at all.
Looking forward to more of these.
