Cynthia Darlow
Jessica's in Washington, D.C., to support a senator's new literacy initiative. The week-long literacy event includes a visit to the White House to meet the president and a lavish party or two.
But during one affair at the senator's home in Virginia, Jessica discovers the dark side of politics. At the foot of a rickety staircase, she finds the body of the senator's chief of staff - and he has taken a permanent recess. Her search for culprits leads her from the shady halls of the Library of Congress to the D.C. social scene, and even the FBI.

Yes, Especially if they are a Murder She Wrote TV show fan.
What about Cynthia Darlow’s performance did you like?
It took a while but eventually I could see Angela Lansbury as the reader read on. It made the book more an extention of the TV series. Which for me was a good thing. I am a total fan of the TV series so books about one of my favorite characters was a serious find for me. I hope the books to come are equally entertaining.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I was and I did and started book two.
