Publisher's summary

Guilt-ridden, her magic waning, Constance Campbell must defeat her greatest foe yet.

When the Faction shows up in Creel Creek, it may mean Constance will finally find out the truth about her mother's disappearance. But the secretive magical organization has a long history of covering up the facts. She won't get them so easily.

When murders begin popping up all over the country with ties to the supernatural, a hunter sets his sights on the small town. He kills three shifters with his sword.

And he's not the only thing that's putting the paranormal community in danger. The Creel Creek After Dark podcast convention has its own surprise in store.

It's up to Constance to protect those she loves and help catch this killer. The question is, can she do both?

Need the other 2 books

Constance Campbell is full of uncertainties in her life. I can't relate to this character but understand on another level. Constance wants to know what happened to her mother after she joined the Faction but when the Faction shows up -it's not the team she expected. They also want more from her than she wants to give. It's one of those life skills we all have to learn - "to pick your battles" especially when it comes to her only living family member and manipulative grandmother.

When a hunter murders 3 shifters in Creel Creek, Constance is requested to help find the hunter - and she feels obligated to help catch the killer and protect the shifters she's grown to love.

I normally don't listen to books if the entire series isn't available - I need to find out what happens - sigh

Cris Dukehart does a terrific job narrating - making you love some characters and get annoyed with others

short but fun

the story and the characters are fun but way too short for the price of the book.

GOOD READ

I enjoyed this latest adventure with Constance and the game. I was little surprised/let down about the Faction, but it was a blip on the radar with everything else going on in town. Now, if only Constance can find her mother.

Another relaxing book

I think this 3rd book was my favorite thus far. The characters are developed and interesting. The twists and turns are not predictable. This tension between known characters and unknown things in the plot makes for an excellent book.
