About this listen

Darby Buckingham, the portly New York writer, had an appetite for local color to add punch to his newest dime novel. But when Hench Hightower rode into town with his half-dead herd of mustangs, Darby had no stomach for what he saw. This is another good book about Darby. There are some horses being mistreated. Darby goes on a mission to save the horses. He gets some good guys to help him. This is an excellent series. Gene Engene does an excellent job narrating this book and series. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.

As much as overall I enjoy the series, I'm somewhat put off by the substandard audio quality. While not a deal killer, occassional unidentified background noise is distracting snd annoying. in one book, the recording sounded a little hollow.

Otherwise, I think the marrator does a great job of being a Western storyteller and jas the right voice for the books.
