How much trouble can a talking fox be?

My name is Jonah Johnson, and I'm in the 6th grade - but please call me Joe. My whole world was turned upside down when I met a talking fox. He's my best friend now, but Fox is in danger after the school bully, Shane, caught him talking to me at my twelfth birthday party. To make matters worse, I've got to worry about Old Nelly's rotten eggs!

My Fox Ate My Cake is a funny fantasy for kids, teachers, and parents. It's an enjoyable story for children in elementary and middle school, and grabs the attention of reluctant readers.

I am a girl and I am seven years old. I liked everything about the book, especially the friendship between Joe and the fox. I like some of the funny parts too.

This is cute! But i didn’t realize this was the 2nd book! I looked before and didn’t see that there was a book 1, could have been a signal thing. But this is book 2. But super cute!!

Very cute! 2nd book!

“This book was very bad. It doesn’t include all religions. Not good with gender, for sure.”

I really really really disliked this book

Nothing about the title nor description suggests there might be talk of religion (Christianity) in this story but it seems to be a major theme. The child attends church and contemplates heaven in a profound way.

And the story is not hilarious as it suggests in the title and description.

The book also subtly glorifies Donald Trump.

Also, the narrator is AI-generated so it’s lacking in that category.

I was looking for a light-hearted, funny story to play in the background while my baby slept and while I did some housework. The title & description were misleading. This is not what I was looking for. May appeal to others…

Sneakily religious, read by AI

the AI narrator did a decent job sounding like a human, but certain inflections or jokes were delivered in a bizarre way. it's like the uncanny valley, audio version.... the story was odd on its own but the robot narrator just made me irrationally angry throughout it all.... yuck.

ty for showing us why human narrators are necessary
