Publisher's summary

I’ve made lots of mistakes.

But never one like this.

Back in high school, the girl next door spent a serendipitous night in my arms. But she wasn’t my type or really up to my level.

So I walked away not knowing her secret - our secret.

Years later, I’m still at the top of my game, ruling my own chunk of the world.

She walks into my office a different woman. Strong, sexy, and dead set on revenge.

I need to walk away again, but I can’t. She’s a different person, and yet, all the things that first had me taking a chance with her pull me back in - deeper this time.

She’s going to wreck my life, one bad decision at a time, and f--k me, I’m going to let her.

The fact that the little man who calls her mom acts like me stops me in my tracks. He even loves the same things I do.

Surely not.

No damn way I’ve been a selfish bastard and haven’t considered the possibilities of our night together so long ago, but it’s true.

He’s mine, and I’m instantly in love with both of them.

I need one more chance, and I’ll do anything to get it.

Every good girl deserves a bad boy. (Weston)

Pretty good but narration is a struggle…

The narrator inserts weird pauses but if you can get past that, the story is pretty good.

who doesn't love a 2nd chance?

This story is a combination of a secret baby and a second chance. Both the H and h had reasons for walking away 6 years ago, but were they justifiable? Now they have a second chance but can they get past the hurt and forgive?
Cute story with a great HEA.

Awful

Poorly written, poorly performed. Just an all around dud of a book to be honest.

might be better off just reading the book

the female voice for this book sounded like a straight-up with computer...at times she also sounded like she was reporting the news. I couldn't really get him to book because I couldn't get past her robotic reading of story.. The character of Lana Daniels is also superficial. she's basically a heartless female who only thinks of herself and I'm supposed to like her? I've never read a story where the female lead literally only thinks with whatever is between her legs. She never once considered anyone but Lana Daniels.

Good plot bad follow through and narrators

Not a fan. The narrator's were more like readers as opppsed to actors.

In regards to the story, a frumpy unpopular girl has a crush on the popular boy next door since they were young. although they used to play street hockey together, their social staus made thrm grow apart. At 17, she loses weight and looks amazing but still has a complex. When her crush asks her to spend some time in his pool out of the blue - she goes, loses her vitginity after being their for 5 minutes, he tells her to keep their exchange a secret, then moves thr next day.
fast forward 6 years and the frumpy girl has confidence, a successful app that needs marketing and guess who world's best marketer and the company she wants to work with? To her surprise...the old neighbor next door.

Here's what I didnt like:
1. She seduces him to get him back, um why?! He comes across as a manwhore...so how does this hurt him?
2. She's hiding the fact that he's the father of her 6 year old. There are about 40 chapters...I'm almost thru chaptet 30 and she's: worked with him for weeks, introduced him to HER son, slept with him multiple times, and is basically dating the man BUT still hasnt told him about his child?

The books doesn't get started until the end...the prologue sums it up. Comes off as a debut novel read by debut actors.
