About this listen

President Bill Clinton's My Life is the strikingly candid portrait of a global leader who decided early in life to devote his intellectual and political gifts, and his extraordinary capacity for hard work, to serving the public.

It shows us the progress of a remarkable American who, through his own enormous energies and efforts, made the unlikely journey from Hope, Arkansas, to the White House - a journey fueled by an impassioned interest in the political process that manifested itself at every stage of his life.

I didn’t want it to end.

Even after the insane amount of time it took to finish, I was disappointed it did finish. I think he was pretty forthcoming on all his decisions and the issues he faced including the Monica issue. Interesting to see how he started in politics and how he reiterates that there has been a plot to come after him. I think he was a great president but he made some mistakes which he paid for and he mentions them clearly. Great insight into how he made decisions and how the people he was with all his life influenced and how he took pride in making those decisions. The technical issues of chapters were off so it was hard to determine what chapter you were on but this was a great book if you are into politics and enjoy “reading” about it. Be prepared it’s a long book.

Vital for understanding modern day politics

Great story, well told, well performed. The presidential years start to sound a bit like resume reading, but that’s to be expected of any presidential memoir. The lead up to the presidency is the most gripping portion.

Compelling and well-delivered

The narrator sounded so much like President Clinton that I had to constantly remind myself it wasn’t him speaking.

This story takes you from childhood to his last day in the White House. It kept my interest and answered many questions about the policies Clinton implemented. It was disappointing to hear that he was working to solve problems that still exist today, and to learn we’ve made little progress toward righting the wrongs in this Nation in the past 20 years.

CLINTON

Great book. Long and love every minute of it. Clinton tackles all the major events of his Presidency with honesty and tells humerous stories from his childhood. This autobiography is a must have in collections of Presidential bios. There's a magic to listening to Bill's own words. This book reads well sequentially with Bush's Decision Points.

I should’ve read this a long time ago

Good book that recounts some major events as recalled from Bill Clinton’s perspective. Wish it had a lot more about his early upbringing.

All of us are written books

This book not only give you insights about politics in the USA but also help to better understand Bill Clinton as a person rather than politician. Highly recommended, though some parts may be boring to public since this is full story of his life.

Great Read

This book actually helps me to understand what is happening now. The struggles between the right and the left continues today. I now understand why the right went after President Clinton but even more why PresidentTrump continues today to go after the left. It is about power. The struggle continues today.

Great story with so many historical facts

Would have preferred Bill Clinton to have done the reading, as the narrator was not as good as he would have been! Overly long, could have been more condensed, but learned a lot. Bill did so much for this country and for world peace! Wish he was in office again!

A wonderful book

A fantastic book that I found to be developmental and maturative for a young man coming of age such as myself. I am an huge fan and advocate for President Bill Clinton and I found this book highly relatable and generally intelligent and I further highly recommend this book.

Worthwhile

Good insight into the mind of Bill Clinton. Good narration. Clinton doesn’t dodge his failings, but he also recognizes his many achievements. It’s a long listen but it went by quick enough.
