About this listen

Is my hot orc neighbor my crush, or is he actually my soulmate?

My hunky orc neighbor, Vrok, who I'd love to get to know better, keeps ignoring me. But when he overhears me reading the draft of my steamy romance novel out loud, he tells me he has ideas to make the male point of view better.

Yeah, sure.

One thing leads to another, and soon, we're not only working on dialogue, but we're also acting out some of the hotter scenes.

Somewhere between chapter fifteen and a troll roller coaster ride, we start falling for each other. Then, mate bond symbols appear on our wrists.

Now, we can't tell if what we're feeling is real or not. If we break the bond, will we still be in love?

My Orc-y Breaky Heart is book eight in the Monsterville, USA series of spicy monster romcoms. Each book is a standalone, but the series is best enjoyed in order. Expect romantic hijinks with monsters, heat, and a happily ever after.

I was eager to find out how the story ended. I think the two main characters were stupid. Refusing to speak up and say what they really want. Vrok could’ve worked through his issues, seeing a therapist. While still being happily mated.
Finally, there is a story is about the demon sheriff, finding love. Next, a MM story. Relationships, are complicated, no matter who the couple is.

The story was well written as usual, and narration was excellent as I’ve come to expect from this duo. But I had a really hard time rating it because it’s one long heartache which is a story trope that I can only handle for a few chapters. This one lasts for about 3/4ths of the book. If you’re a lover of strong, sad emotions with a happy ending, this book is for you.
