About this listen

“I got off the phone and I tried to calm down, but my mind was racing. Derek was the father of the baby I was carrying inside me. He was my first love, my only true love. We hadn’t spoken in more than two months, but crazily I had still hoped we had a future together - me, him, and our baby, as one happy family. It’s every teenage girl’s dream, isn’t it? You meet a boy, you fall in love, and then one day you have a family and grow old together, happily ever after.”

Fans of MTV’s critically acclaimed hit series, Teen Mom, have followed Farrah Abraham’s tumultuous life as a single teen mother. Her fiery, relentless spirit, and her unwavering commitment to getting the best out of life for herself and her daughter, Sophia, in spite of all the drama constantly surrounding her have made her a beloved star and media sensation. Now, in this unflinching, at times heartbreaking, memoir, Farrah reveals the difficult truth about the life that hasn’t been seen on television.

Love the book!

Her story changed my mind about her. Her challenges are real and I have more understanding about her.

Commas save life’s

Overall the book was good, it gave an insight about Farrah’s life during her relationship with Dereck. Oh My God Farrah does not know how to read! She doesn’t have a sense of why there are periods or commas where they are. She paused during the middle of sentences where she shouldn’t have to pause or she would ramble on when she shouldn’t of. It made it kind of difficult to listen along because of those unnecessary pauses.

Not bad

OK first off I have never been a big fan of Farrah Abraham but then again I only got to know the teen mom version where she was going out and partying and leaving her daughter home alone. This book really helped me get a new version of her life before teen mom. I recommend this book to all the people who do not like Farrah Abraham to at least give this book a try and to maybe try and understand her a little bit if this book doesn’t help you then nothing probably will

Shockingly good!

I did not expect this book to be so good. I have been watching Farrah since her 16 and pregnant episode. This books gives so much background that has never been portrayed on TV. It really helps to understand Farrah more and perhaps why she makes the choices that she does, she’s clearly just reacting severe pain. She is a lot stronger than anyone gives her credit for. She also narrated it very well!

Good

There's more vulgarity than I was expecting, but that's the only "bad" thing about the story. As a fan of the show, I'm glad I listened to it, because now I understand why Farrah is the way she is. Understanding her family's dynamic makes understanding her a lot easier. I'm also happy that she is working towards healing herself.
All around, great book. Farrah is a good writer.

Better than expected

I'm not sure what I expected but with the drama that follows Farah I suppose I expected this to be dramatic too? This story was well written, very enjoyable and I found myself not wanting to put it down! If you have followed Teen Mom and are curious about the beginning of Farah's story before the crazy days, you want to give this a read. I really enjoyed it!😉
Great job Farah! Now if the rest of your crazy entitled life could relax as much as this book.

Actually makes sense

This book actually helps explain why Farrah has behaved the way she has. Of course you don’t see everything on TV so hearing in Farrahs words how her past affected her really clears things up. Others claim she made Derrick look bad, but i didn’t find that to be the case. I felt like Farrah was very genuine and sincere and gave her opinions of how she perceived him to be. Of course everyone will have their opinion of him but I don’t feel she went out of her way to make him look bad.

WOW!

The book resurfaced on Tik tok so I decided to listen to it and my God. I now know why Farrah is the way she is. I wish I would’ve read it before but hearing it was just surreal. I sympathise with her and will forever stand by her choices. Truly a must read from her pov in the earlier days.

I didn't expect much but I was still disappointed

I never intended on reading Farrah's book because I hate her on teen mom but after reading the other girls books and developing a new appreciation for them so I thought I'd give Farrah's a chance. I didn't get the deep dark secrets I was looking for. I got a teenage romance novel complete with disgusting sex scenes. I'm more convinced than ever that she has narcissistic personality disorder. And she should have paid someone else to narrate for her. What a train wreck.
