About this listen
A curious case of eudaemonia
Tron meets Inside Out in this funny sci-fi thriller.
When an ordinary guy’s implanted devices are reset after a construction accident that costs him his arm, the daemons in charge of his electronics are just trying to do their job as usual. But will they manage to keep their user happy and alive, when every bit of info they uncover becomes another part of a mystery, when it becomes clear that someone is framing him for murder and when a corporation is sending a snake charmer assassin after him?
Inspired by Aristophanes' Clouds (Nefeles) and a little bit of Inside Out, this fast-paced action-thriller delivers computer jokes along with an interesting tale of redemption.
"This humorous look into the Internet of Things is equal parts exiting and worrisome." (ScifiSelect)
Do you want to know what’s next for the poor daemons? Do you wanna meet the User? Then listen to a curious case of eudaemonia in this unique sci-fi action thriller.

In the far future, mankind lives safe and secure behind the Chronos Ring - an automatic defense system that encircles the area of space occupied by human beings. The Ring keeps out all of humanity's enemies - in particular, a vicious race of reptilians known as the Parsnaak. The gods are dying. Thane has served his goddess for thousands of lifetimes, but even he knows that time is running out. There's only one way to save her, to save all of Dweller kind, and it's a suicide mission. The host is a boy named Jakob. His ancient soul is one of the rare sources of power still recycling in the world of flesh. Thane has taken so many souls to his goddess, but this one could save them all. It's only when Thane learns the truth of the gods does he deny them their power. Souls aren't recycled. They're destroyed, and his goddess isn't a deity...she's a monster.

If you've never read a Repairman Jack novel, this is the place to begin. It's 1990. A twenty-one-year-old named Jack has dropped out of college, leaving his old life behind to build a new one in New York City. Manhattan's rough edges are jagged enough to shred any unwary newcomer, but perhaps not one who is determined to stay off the grid, at any cost, in the busiest metropolis on earth. And to do so, he'll have to take jobs of a less than legal nature.

Inside out for sci-fi fans
I love Disney and found inside out to be one of its greats. This is a sci-fi version of inside out with a twist. A man loses his arm and has it replaced with a cybernetic one. To do this he has to have his internal tech rebooted, he was also given a few upgrades. What he didn’t know is that all his tech has been modified illegally, there is a hidden program that will enact at a specific situation turning him into an assassin. once the program is complete his new tech will have to do what it can to keep him alive and potentially clear him of this act. Really great and really hilarious. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher

Very entertaining, a very unique point of view
I thought this was an excellent book. Seeing the story both from the POV of the protagonist, as well as his "Nanodaemons". It was well done, the voices for the daemons were fun and interesting, and the story had a couple of nice twists and turns.

I love this story!
What a great listen/read in all it's genres, which are at least four. I loved the humor, the corny/unique characters and how this whole story comes out of left field. Top shelf story. I highly recommend this book. Now for the obligatory: "I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

Great read for Tech lovers.
The concept for this book is very interesting. It is based in the future were tech has evolved to the point that it can be installed into humans. The tech also has Daemons with AI installed and they are part of the story. Each Daemon has their own personality and add a lot of humor to the story. Fingered! So what happens when your tech gets hacked and you no longer have control over your cybernetic hand? Things go wrong for the user and the Daemons try to save him. If your into Tech and computers you will enjoy this story. If you're not a techy, you can listen to Chapter 53 first, which is a glossary of the terms used. There is no spoilers in that chapter so don't worry. The only downside to this book is how short it is, but it does have an ending. The narration was great. Each character including the Daemons have their own voice and accent. I will definitely listen to another book written by George or narrated by Luke Rounda. I love this story! Very iimaginative.
I love how the author explores a very imaginative situation where a human being has several bionic body replacements and these various parts start communicating with each other without the human even knowing.. It tells the story that I have often speculated about happening. I listened to this book and the narrator did a great job, adding to the enjoyment of the story. The imagination of this author is wonderful.

Fascinating premise, odd plot
Inside Out for sci-fi nerds! The premise of this book is super intriguing.
Unfortunately, the assassin and murder framing throw this books plot on a weird path that was tough to get through.

Nanothoughts
Nanodaemons was a really enjoyable story that balances action, assassins, humor, romance, and tech jargon. It is set in a not-too-distant cyberpunk future that is exiting yet relatable. While I do not really understand much of tech and programing lingo, I don’t believe that lessened my experience of the book. There were several time I actually laughed aloud, although tech people may even enjoy it more. Overall, it was a fun read and I will likely be reading other books by this author.
I revived a free copy of this book in an exchange for an honest review.
Morality rating- Nanodaemons contains language, violence, gore, and an off-screen sexual encounter.

Inner robot voices
Nanodaemons tells a story of lots of little AI programs talking to one another, determining actions to undertake, not dissimilar to how the emotions work in Pixar's Inside Out. They are directing and helping our protagonist in a murderous corporate world, helping him prove his innocence of a crime he is framed for.
Having read several other stories by George Saoulidis, this one just didn't grab me in the same way as his other works have. It's a fine story, but the characters and the situation just weren't enough to grab me. the 'personalities' of the programs varied, providing a lot of different characters, but some were really annoying and others just didn't interest me.
Narration by Luke Rounda is technically good. It's just of a style I don't like. He provides a whole tonne of voices and character for each of the daemons, and for other characters. But most of the daemons have audio effects and voice manipulation layered over them, which is something that I generally don't like. Technically competent, skilled, interesting and engaging - well paced and clear. It just wasn't actually enjoyable for me. Your mileage may vary.

Great story in a fun neo-mythological world
This author was a new find for me, and this first try has been great fun! As it turns out he has written several novellas and short stories in this same story universe, where the ancient Greek gods still thrive and have had modern day makeovers. Great concept.
This particular story is indeed cyberpunk, where cybernetic bodyparts and enhancements are a normal thing, including a continuous internet connection in people’s own heads.
Although it is quite short, this story has many things I enjoy: it’s part adventure, part murder mystery, part romance, part comedy, and of course part mythological scifi.
I’m definitely keeping an eye on this author!
As for the narrator, he is absolutely perfect, loved everything he did, but especially all the different voices, accents, tones and sound effects of the nanodaemons. Hilarious! He gets 5 stars from me.
The only issue I have is the shortness of this story. Had the author taken more time he would have been able to develop his story and characters more, which would have likely made it even better.
Recommend!
