I really wanted to love this but am super disappointed. The story seemed like it started out well but 2 minutes in and the narrator completely put me off the story. I spent more time hoping he could use a bit of nuance in his voice or inflection, but alas it was a monotonous mess. He mispronounced words, repeated in a few places as if he were unsure how to pronounce or even if he did pronounce the word. Very disappointing all around for narration. Hopefully narrator can be replaced or coached and I could give it another try.

The story was confusing and didn’t flow normally.

The use of pronouns in this book made the characters confusing.

I honestly don’t know exactly who did what.

The narration needs improvement. There was constant background noise, repeated chapters, repeated lines and it was READ not PERFORMED.

Not very good

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
The story line seemed to have some potential, but there are times when the narrator reads the same sections of the book multiple times making it confusing. It also takes way too long giving back ground details that are boring and uninteresting. The narrator sounds like a computer reading the book, as there is no emotion or inflection to his voice throughout. I am bummed, because I really wanted to like this book.

Honestly I think if I were to read this I would like it, but even sped up considerably the narration just killed it for me. I appreciate the opportunity to listen, but couldn’t get through it 😞

Narration didn’t work for me

The story itself was good a little hard to follow as at times I felt like the author was trying to tell two different stories to be merged into one maybe that’s the mind of a narcissistic (and I personally have no knowledge of) also the narrator spoke so slowly I actually had to speed up to speech in order to understand him.
