Publisher's summary

In his best-selling YA memoir Tweak: Growing Up on Methamphetamines, Nic Sheff shared a heartbreakingly honest account of his days as a teenage crystal meth and heroin addict. At the end of Tweak, listeners left Nic checking in to a rehab facility in Arizona. We All Fall Down is about what happened next...

In this powerful and immensely engaging follow-up to his first memoir, Sheff picks up where he left off and reveals his first-person account of stints at in-patient rehabilitation facilities, devastating relapses with alcohol and marijuana, and hard-won realizations about what it means to be a young adult living with addiction.

In We All Fall Down, Nic voices a truth that many addicts understand: not every treatment works for every addict. By candidly revealing his own failures and small personal triumphs, he inspires young people to maintain hope and to remember that they are not alone in their battles.

Enlightened

Wow! This was enlightening for me as a sister to an addict, and now a daughter whom I believe is also an addict.
I cant wait to read more of your books.

Wanted to shake Nic and hug him at the same time

I'm pretty sure the narrator is different here from Nic's first memoir, which I felt was a strange move. It definitely took me a few chapters to connect with him.

I love the way Nic writes - very casual, as if he's just speaking to you. His story made me so frustrated with him at times for his decisions, and so annoyed with his obvious lack of accountability for his own actions. Stop blaming other people or situations for your decisions! But at the same time, I was 100% in his corner, rooting for him all the way.

Nic has a great story to share and I'm glad I read it (listened to it).

Great follow up to first book

Nic Sheff knows how to write a compelling story. I recently became interested in the subject of addition. I was drawn into this story and will be looking for the third installment of how he's done in years of sobriety.... or not?

Amazing, raw, and thorough

It's hard to come up with all the right words, as someone who works in the field of addiction after growing up around it, this book spoke to me. The raw emotions of Nic Sheff through his journey has hit me in such and intimate way, all I can say is thank you.

Outstanding listen!

Nic hit home for me! I cried then I would laugh. Although I’m 62 and did some sort of speed for forty years, starting with white crosses and ending with meth, I still relate to the never ending struggle to stay clean now. I’ll have four years clean in five days but it’s been absolutely hell. And Nic put to words that struggle but with hope at the end of the tunnel. There is life after drugs! And so honest and open about the mental issues. Which I myself can relate to also. Just outstanding. Thank you for sharing your story.
