Wonderful!

This is a fantastic story and Brad Wills is the very best. I am sure I was right there when everything went down with the characters.

Fantastic!!

Listening to the audio of this wonderful story by the great Brad Wills, was just awesome. I read it some years back but listening to it was such a treat. Kathryn Le Veque knows her genre so well and NEVER disappoints. She touches on the sensitive subject of family abuse and the effect there of. It is a heart rending tale of hurt and pain, but also of compassion and love that heals and restores and warms the heart. True to Le Veque form you can expect a beautiful epilogue which will leave you smiling and wishing for more.

Very good story

This is another very good story by the author about an abused heroine and her equally abused sister. I thought the socially inept hero amazingly kind and soft hearted in spite of the continuous reference to his character as hard and unyielding. Loved the supporting characters too .. what annoyed me is the constant referencing to kicking dogs and pls do-not tell me it suits the time period because it does not.

The Bad Seed

Outstanding narration by Brad Wills. A favorite Le Veque novel brings to life the story of two sisters and their father terrorized by the heir of Nether. Sir Keller de Poyer is gifted Nether in Wales by William Marshal and must marry the heiress, but her abusive brother has other ideas. One of Le Veque's best heros.

Consistently Good Writer!

I have listened to many of Kathryn Le Veque's books and she always writes interesting stories that are emotionally charged. You can always count on her books to be filled with true to life dialog with believable challenges along the way. This book also has light humor to keep you smiling. The narration of Brad Wills adds emotion and excitement to this Medieval tale.

I recommend this story to those who enjoy a good story along with a sweet romance. ;-)

Emotionally Gripping!

What did you love best about Netherworld?

It literally swept me away to another fantastic world! It's filled with all kinds of emotions, sadness, hope, joy and happiness! When Keller meets Chrystobel, his future wife, he suddenly senses that something is wrong and that the resident of the castle are hiding dark secrets. The story grabs you and holds you until the very end.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sir Keller de Poyer was my favorite because he was a respected knight and a great protector but he was, also awkward with people. This made him a refreshing and unique character!

What about Brad Wills’s performance did you like?

Brad Will has done it again! His voice was perfect because it was the way I imagined Keller's voice.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I never listen to an audio in one sitting, I prefer to taste it chapters by chapters. Listening to audio, relaxes me! And since, I'm a huge fan of Kathryn Le Veque's medieval novels, it's always a delight to listen to her stories. They totally captivate me!

Any additional comments?

If you love a story filled with strong emotions and rich characters, then I highly recommend NETHERWORLD!

KLV Never Disappoints

I always enjoy her books. She has such a wide range in her story telling. I am almost always on the edge of my seat and Brad Wills makes it even better. KLV's books are a must listen/read, however, the listening with the right narrator makes it even better.

Great Story and Wonderful Performance!

Would you listen to Netherworld again? Why?

I would definitely listen to 'Netherworld' again. It's a great story and Brad Wills' performance is incredibly entertaining!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Keller de Poyer was my favorite character. He was quite different from most of the other knights this author has written about. Although he was quite commanding and efficient in battle, his personal life was rather empty and sad. He'd been the loser in a previous relationship and was petrified at the thought the same thing might happen again.

What about Brad Wills’s performance did you like?

Brad Wills is a wonderful narrator! He doesn't just read the story, he ACTS the story!! I could hear the smile in his voice at the lighthearted passages, even when he wasn't laughing out loud. His emotional range runs the gamut, from sternness or anger, to humor, to sadness or utter fear. He differentiates characters expertly, and even reads the female characters as expertly as he does the male characters. He really puts the heart into the story!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Listening to a book all in one sitting is not always the best way to enjoy it. I enjoyed it immensely, but preferred to listen to it over several days.

Any additional comments?

I would listen to ANYthing Brad Wills narrates!! He's the best!
