Publisher's summary

Like cascading dominoes, the intentional departure from believing the Bible is inerrant has plunged the church of the 21st century down the treacherous slippery slope of accommodation and compromise.

Are there clear historical markers that identify this dreadful paradigm shift?

Why have so many evangelicals identified themselves as new evangelicals?

Who was the existentialist person absorbed in mysticism that humanistically masterminded The Purpose Driven Church and PEACE plan?

What is the relationship between Fuller Seminary, The Purpose Driven Church, and the emergent church movement?

How is the emergent church's push for globalization harmonizing with the new world order in these prophetic last days?

Can the Calvary chapel movement, independent churches, and independent denominations learn any lessons from others' errors and mistakes?

Addressing these questions with riveting case studies, coupled with staggering and sobering documentation, the author unfolds the shocking progression of ideas that were birthed in a nest of aberrant church beliefs.

Great eye opener

I love the fact the author has eyewitness accounts and knows personally several people mentioned in this book. The message of this book is the history, practice, and fruit of the corporate mega church, fuller seminary, worldwide push for global unity in comparison to the inerrant Bible. I have met Paul and love him as a brother in christ who has many years of experience. I would suggest listening at 1.25 speed however.

Tracks cause for decline of Evanglicalism

Excellent and well documented book, provides several case studies of the decline of Evangelicalism. Traces the root cause back to the departure from the infallibility and authority of scripture.

Interesting Book, Poorly read by the author

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would not recommend this reading to a friend. The author reads in a dry, monotone manner. He frequently coughs and mispronounces words that he wrote.

How could the performance have been better?

A different narrator would have been a plus.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I could not listen to this in one sitting.

Excellently done

I'm at a loss coming away from this one, it grieves the heart to see where the church is going, but gives us joy knowing knowing the time is near.
