Fantastic…except

The author is fantastic and I am counting down the days for book 3! I can’t wait to see where he takes the book! All the characters are Fantastic and so layered! Truly impressed with Everything he is doing with the story❤️! Nickel is such a great character with such a big heart! He’s going to be the one that pulls them all together in the end. My only problem is he has too many blind lucks…he doesn’t have much control and it’s just luck getting him through it. I know he is the under dog but he’s got a lot to learn…I just hope he does more training in the future bc it’d be epic for him to have a little training in every power when the show down came. I just see him fumbling to victory…he got kicked enough already, I just want him to have faith in himself before going to the final book.

So good!

I am a teacher and absolutely loved the imagination and pace of the story. I have listened to both of the Nickel Brickle’Bee books and can’t wait for the next one. I will be recommending this series to my students and co-workers. Jason did a bang up job on narration and I am crossing my fingers for a film deal. Well done, everyone.

Love the stories but…..

My only issue is the narrator, who slurs the words during speaking, at times making it difficult to “read”.

Another thrilling adventure!

Sterling Nixon has done it again. As we tunnel back into EarthWorks, he grabs us immediately with the intrigue of a new adventure. This one definitely sneaks a little more politics into it and shows us a more behind the scenes look at the caste system our characters must navigate if they are to be successful in their endeavors. I actually found myself more angry at Sharlindrian's plight than at the demons around whose dastardly deeds this plot is centered. Can't wait until the next book comes out!

Wow! A Great Listen!

This is part two of the Brickle’Bee series and it is well worth the wait! Jason Burntworth and Nickle Brickle’Bee are going to Harbordeen Academy. Not everyone is happy about this, but Nickley and Jason make the most of it. They must recover the artifact stolen by the Demon Queen who can heal herself immediately of all injuries and create more Demons. While searching for the Red Book, Jason decides to take on the Elf world in a friendly sports game and try to even out the playing field.

Sterling Nixon, the author, has created a world that is fascinating and enthralling! The themes running through this book are subtle but powerful. Touching on class, elitism, equity, and fairness blends in well with the storyline. His character development is rich and solid; while each character grows throughout the series their personality is consistent. The dialog throughout the book is authentic and keeps the story moving forward. The ending is very surprising!

The narrator, Jason Finch gives an excellent performance! Although the excitement builds, Finch maintains a steady cadence. He carefully enunciates and immerses himself deep into the storyline. He projects the excitement, fear, anger, and more effortlessly. I thoroughly enjoy listening to Finch!

While I enjoyed the first book, this one has now become my favorite in the series. I loved the McDonald reference and when the elf throws down protocol and snarfs down the Quarter Pounder … well, it was PERFECT!
