About this listen

After fighting for centuries to be together, Ever and Damen's future hinges on one final showdown that will leave listeners gasping for breath. Don't miss this explosive new installment of the #1 bestselling series that's enchanted millions across the world!

Haven still blames Ever for the death of her boyfriend Roman, no matter how hard Ever's tried to convince her it was an accident. Now she's determined to take Ever down…and destroy Damen and Jude along the way. Her first step is to tear Ever and Damen apart—and she has just the ammunition to do it.

Hidden in one of Ever's past lives is a terrible secret about Damen—a secret that illuminates new facts about her relationship with Jude, but that's so dark and brutal it might be enough to drive her and Damen apart once and for all. As Ever faces her greatest fears about the guy she wants to spend eternity with, she's thrust into a deadly clash with Haven that could destroy them all.

Now it'll take everything she's got—and bring out powers she never knew she had—to face down her most formidable enemy. But in order to win, she must first ask herself: is her own survival worth dooming Haven to an eternity of darkness in the Shadowland? And will learning the truth about Damen's past hold the key to their future?

What other book might you compare Night Star to and why?

None

What does Katie Schorr bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her way of reading and how she brings life to the characters.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Nothing particular really moved me. Loved the book.

Best friends make the worst enemies

Although I love this series and it’s brilliantly thought up, the same use of the same descriptions is so tiring through the entire set. From the “peering” and the absent “arm scratching even though it doesn’t itch”, it makes it a little hard to not get annoyed. Overall one of my favorite book ideas, just wish there was a little more variety in the text.

Repetitive descriptions.

I'm an Immortals fan. Still, I admit the plot is beginning to stall in this book. When I look at the series as a whole, this might've been needed but I'm ready to get this moving along again.

Love The Series But... It's Time To Move On.

The unabridged is a bit redundant at times but well worth the few extra moments.
This is a series of characters that will remain with you for life. In fact you will miss them.

you will miss them when your finished

I enjoy this genre, so I'm bought and listened to all 5 books in this series. I like the characters and the idea behind the series, but sometimes the awkward writing gets in the way. The author will start a scene, and then end the scene without explaining what happened. Then only to later have the character have a long inner dialogue to explain what happened. I kept feeling like I skipped ahead in the story, when I hadn't. Other then that, the characters have grown and developed over the last 5 books. And I will finish the series. I also enjoyed the narrator! She has the perfect voice for this series. If you enjoy this genre, pick this one up.

This series is up and down

Honestly toward the end of this book it tapered off in storyline where I wish they had put a final chapter to wrap up the series in here instead of dragging it into another book.

Wish it had ended here

Some this was weird about this audio. Weird long pauses between sentences...like they paused between conversations...

I have been listening to this series since the beginning. Have you ever finished a series and thought "they could have finished that in 2 books"? That is this series. It drove me nuts listening to the characters explaining everything to DEATH! Most readers/listeners are able to come to the point pretty quickly but this author just treats everyone like we can't come to one single conclusion. Moving on. Haven is a brat, Ever is a brat. Everyone is either a brat or dull, and "heck!" I am so over this. Usually this genre has some substance but the more I listened the more I wanted to be sick!

Is it over yet?

I found that once I read the first book and then the second book in this series that I had everything figured out before it happened and I don't like that it did not keep me interested.

too predictable
