The only problem with this book is it leaves you craving for so much more from this universe of stories.

This was fun for a quick bite of the world of Erna and its history. Unfortunately if you are already familiar, it can drag a bit to watch a group of people figure out the workings of the fae that are so familiar to you as a reader. Still worth it for the last fifth or so which was definitely a delight.

If you have read the trilogy and liked it you will likely enjoy this beginning story that expands on the initial colony of people on the planet that is touched upon briefly in the trilogy. If you have not listened to the trilogy yet this will likely be less enjoyable. Please go to those first then come back to this. While good, not as great as the original trilogy of books.

This also has the novella "Dominion" that features the introduction of Gerald Tarrant. If you get this one you shouldn't also buy "Dominion" as you will already own it with this audiobook. It's the final two hours of this one.
