About this listen

One small town. An ice storm. Two deadly killers.

FBI Agent Shannon Ames is headed to the north country for some much-needed R&R when a sudden ice storm traps her in the small hamlet of Long Lake, NY. But the storm isn’t her only problem: As she rolls into town, she finds a body by the side of the road.

As Shannon begins to investigate, she realizes she’s not the only person trapped here; there are two vicious killers stalking the town. With no way in or out, it’s up to Shannon to stop them before they hurt someone else. Thus begins a deadly game of cat and mouse, with Shannon relentlessly closing in on the two criminals.

But what she doesn’t know is that this little town has secrets that must stay hidden at all costs. And when Shannon gets a little too close to the terrible truth, she goes from hunter to hunted.

And in her moment of greatest danger, she finds she has nowhere to hide.

LOVE this Author!!!

It’s been long time since I’ve came across a new author/series I LOVED enough to use my 5 saved up credits! The author and narrator make a great team producing an outstanding series. There’s some romance but nothing in depth which a lot of listeners turned off by graphic romance scenes will appreciate! The plots are engaging, the characters are likable and interesting, the quality of the audio is fantastic, and lastly the narration outstanding! Bailey Card is able to preform both male and female characters better than a lot of other female narrators. The books can be read out of order. I did skip book 3 just because I wasn’t ready for the topic during the holiday season but I’ll read it next year. I appreciate the fact T.J. Brearton does not spend extra time rehashing previous books (a personal pet peeve). PLUS, the first book, The Killing Time, is available for free in Audible Plus so you can’t lose giving it a try today!!

Editing error ruins plot

Agent confirms crucial part of story but two chapters later states they never confirmed that crucial part. This part is subsequently used as key reason for identifying the main suspect.

How on earth did you miss this contradiction in the plot? Without it, it would be 5 stars. I don’t want to be a spoiler by being more specific. But review chapters 43-46.
