I had listened to book 2 before this book 1 and it's nice to have this context! Vist and his companions don't quite end up at their destination and some end up in the "enemies"/crazies hands. Still the mission is what they need to carry out so it's/they are not compromised. As futuristic sci-fi as this is, there are elements of today's world that make it relatable and even the machine-like characters somewhat human. Some of the elements in this remind me of some of Terry Brooks' stories but of course this is its own! This is a great story for those that enjoy the mix of the future with enough of the realistic elements that make it seem possible! Characters are lovable and memorable and the story keeps you wondering what is coming next. You definitely can't predict this future!

It had me caught up from the first chapter. I haven’t finished it yet but it’s good. I like the British accent the narrator has (or uses). Still easy to listen to but I can’t do 2x speed or I get lost. Would definitely recommend for sci fi lovers.

I wasn’t sure what to expect going in, but Object and Vist quickly pulled me into its unique world. The writing is vivid, and there’s a quiet intensity to the story that kept me turning the pages. Vist is a fascinating character mysterious, layered, and not at all what you’d expect. The book left me with more questions than answers in the best way possible, and I’m definitely looking forward to Book 2.

Great story line as the earth is dying and they are reliant on a single character that is the last of her race. The book is well written as the story line blossoms over time as they find out more about the planet they are looking to move too.

I'm interested in how it mixes themes like faith, extinction, and the need to find meaning when all seems lost. Sometimes the plot goes down confusing paths. It's not a quick or comfortable story, but it does leave me thinking.
