Publisher's summary

A robber is dead, and a young woman stands accused.

Not only a witness, Nick is a victim, and he'll need help to keep his assignment on track. His girlfriend Sandra answers the call, but a personal interest draws her into the investigation when the thief’s death turns out to be an overdose.

A Satanic Preist faces off with a televangelist, and both may even be suspects.

Was this an accident? Where did the drugs come from? How did the victim get them? The questions point to one answer, but there is something missing. The key lies in Nick's memory and a single photo.

But will anyone believe him?

He has a concussion. He's behind on his assignment. And even Sandra thinks this time, he may be wrong. Will he convince them of what he knows to be true? Or has his hunch finally led him down the wrong path?

Nick Needs Help

While Nick is in Oklahoma City preparing to take pictures of the capital, he is injured and Sandra comes to help him complete his assignment. I enjoy this series. I recommend it to others who enjoy murder mysteries without a lot of sensationalism. Joseph L Stevenson's narration is clear and precise. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

I enjoyed listening to this book

Troy Lambert writes a book that I enjoy listening to. I have listened to this series and wonder will Nick find himself in trouble or will he be involved in a mystery. Troy didn't disappoint with this book. I did receive a copy. I am providing a review based on my opinion.

Baskerville Book Reviews

Just when I was cumpletely done with this series, it had to go and get interesting again. Shaggy gets shot and I couldn’t help but hope it was the end of the series, or at least him. Then Daphne shows up and proceeds to help, keeping the story interesting, as well as providing some more character backstory and personality for her. Shaggy finally realizes he doesn’t really know this person he’s barely getting to know, has been dating for weeks, and is already telling her he loves.

Of course, he has to go and make it weird right after by bringing marriage up. That, on top of the stupidly incorrect phrase “could care less” in the preview for the next book annoy me. Bad writing is bad writing. Where would this series be without it?

Yet again, the narrator does a passable job at best. I’m glad I don’t have to listen to another one of his narrations, or his inability to tell O and zero apart.

NOTE: This copy was provided to me free of charge as a digital review copy. The opinions stated in this review are mine and mine alone, I was not paid or requested to give this book a certain rating, suggestion, or approval.

One Capital and one crime to solve at a time

Offered in Oklahoma is the 15th instalment in the Capital City murders. It is a story that flows easily and a pleasure to listen to. I like the concept of the freelance photographer travelling through the country and each city contained in one book. The books are just long enough for a little crime time if you are in a hurry/
