About this listen
Darrell Scott said it best when he said country music sounds tired, but it doesn't sound Haggard, that is has money, but it doesn't have Cash. Well, Bubba is visited by the Ghosts of Music Past, Present, and Yet to Come in a Christmas Carol-style romp guided by legends of song to save Music from Auto-Tune Hell, literally!
Follow Bubba as he tries to save music, gets his butt kicked by a little girl, and duels a demon in a sing-off that would make Charlie Daniels proud as a demon comes to Muscle Shoals and Bubba time-travels with Hank Williams, Sr.!
And after all that, this season three finale ends with a huge revelation about Bubba's family that will leave audiences waiting with bated breath for the beginning of Bubba the Monster Hunter season four!

Story
Robert "Bubba" Brabham never wanted to hunt monsters. He mostly wanted to drink beer, hunt deer, and chase women, like every other giant redneck in the world. But life interfered, and Bubba found himself holster-deep in the family business: monster hunting. Now he's the Southeastern Regional Hunter for the Holy Roman Catholic Church...Bubba has to save the world from the things that go bump in the night! Just as soon as he's done with his beer. And maybe after one more lap dance.

Story
Timothy Walter Bolton - better known as Timmy - has spent most of his life as a necromancer. When he isn't terrorising his enemies, he's plotting inside his castle, which is built on top of lightless chasms filled with nameless horrors and beings of a generally malevolent and megalomaniacal nature. But after one of his latest creations, a zombie hydra-dragon-bear, tries to eat him, he decides that maybe it's time to find a new, less dangerous, career.

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Story
My name is Kazimir Wolfe. People call me "Kaz", except they don’t. I never use my real name; it’s too dangerous, for me and for anyone I meet. I’m on the run from the law, who think I killed my aunt, and from whoever did kill her, because they want to finish the job. So, I move around a lot, working construction or whatever job I can find. It’s a lonely life. I don’t let anyone get close...people who get close to me end up dead. Why? I’m a wizard. The world’s only wizard, as far as I know.

Story
There are angels, and they are not beneficent or loving. But they do watch over us. They watch our lives unfold, analyzing us for repeating patterns and redundancies. When they find them, the angels simplify those patterns and remove the redundancies, and the problem that is "you" gets solved.

Story
In the more shadowy corners of the world, frequented by angels and demons and everything in between, Laytham Ballard is a legend. It's said he raised the dead at the age of 10, stole the Philosopher's Stone in Vegas back in 1999, and survived the bloodsucking kiss of the Mosquito Queen. Wise in the hidden ways of the night, he's also a cynical bastard who stopped thinking of himself as the good guy a long time ago.

Story
When he was 19, James Stark was considered to be one of the greatest natural magicians, a reputation that got him demon-snatched and sent downtown - to Hell - where he survived as a gladiator, a sideshow freak entertaining Satan's fallen angels. Story
Animal House, the film adaptation of stories Chris Miller published in National Lampoon about his experiences at a Dartmouth fraternity, is among the most beloved and successful comedies of all time. In fact, its portrayal of college party life is still imitated on campuses across the country: toga party, anyone? Now Chris Miller can finally answer the fans who all want to know one thing: was it really like that? The answer: yes, but much, much more out of control!

The fun conclusion to Season 3
Where does Oh Bubba, Where Art Thou? rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
The entire season is solid ranking toward the top third of the hundreds of books I own. This season are four novellas with a beginning middle and end rather than a large single novel as was the case with the first two seasons which I rank higher. I just prefer a single large novel over four small novellas but again each is a complete story and very good ones at that.
What did you like best about this story?
The way it made me feel. I own zero albums by any of the artist listed in the story but I still felt it at my core.
What about John Solo’s performance did you like?
That he kept Bubba honest. He is at his core a redneck and he could have changed his narration to have him be much more sophisticated than the author intended him to be but he stayed true to the source material.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I don't want to spoil it but I have the same non-relationship that the character has with his family member so that part of the story resonated with me.
Any additional comments?
As of this date if you haven't bought Season 3 buy that as it contains all four stories for the price of one. I have no regrets about buying the stories individually as I got them much sooner than I would have if I had waited but at this point purchasing individual stories to this season is a bad deal.
