Publisher's summary

Men and women are turning up dead in the outskirts of Seattle, poisoned by a mysterious chemical. When a pattern is discovered and it becomes clear that a twisted serial killer is on the hunt, the FBI calls in their best asset: Special Agent Riley Paige. Riley is urged to return to the line of duty - but Riley, still reeling from the attacks on her family, is loath to return. Yet as bodies mount, and the murders become more inexplicable, Riley knows she has no choice.

The case takes Riley deep into the unsettling world of nursing homes, of hospitals, of drifting caretakers and psychotic patients. As Riley delves deeper into the mind of the murderer, she realizes she is hunting the most terrifying killer of all: one whose madness knows no depths - and yet who may just appear shockingly ordinary.

A dark psychological thriller with heart-pounding suspense, Once Pined is book six in a riveting new series - with a beloved new character - that will leave you listening late into the night.

Great Book

Love this series! My daughter turned me into this series and it's great! I always have to try to overcome the narrator's heavy Brit accent that seems out of place for an American based family in the United States. it just seems odd.

Great story but the narration was not very good at all.

Loved the. Ook! I love all his his series so far. The narrator is not strong though. She tried to do some different voices but it doesn’t allow me to get into every part of the book.

Vivid details

I loved this story of Agent Paige catching yet another killer. The suspect criminally insane or just as sinister as the others.

Loved the story

I couldn’t quit listening but get aggravated when the British narrator mispronounces American words and makes everyone sound British when they are American. In an earlier book she pronounced Tucson like Tuck son.

Great series

As usual I really enjoyed book number 6 in the Riley Paige mysteries. I am enjoying her personal growth and her family growth. I definitely recommend this if you enjoy a strong female character and a good mystery suspense. I will definitely continue on with the series.

Seriously?

This book should be in the adolescent section. The voice reading the book is laughable. I DO NOT recommend this book.

Narration is bad

The narrator for her books is not good. Mispronounced locations and names. It’s out of place for the setting-US. She narrates all the books in this series. It detracts from the story. Her characterization is very bad n sometimes grating. She gets garble mouthed when attempting an accent. Just bad
