About this listen

When coffeehouse manager turned amateur sleuth Clare Cosi roasts "magic" beans for Fairy Tale Week, she brews up a vision that leads to a sleeping beauty in Central Park; a big, bad wolf of Wall Street; and an East Side enclave with storybook secrets.

Fairy tale fever has descended on New York City. Broadway fans are flocking to Red Riding Hood: The Musical; museums are exhibiting art inspired by the Brothers Grimm; and Clare Cosi gives her coffee truck a "Jack and the Beanstalk" makeover for a Central Park festival.

Clare's coffee hunter ex-husband contributes a bag of African beans with alleged magical properties, and his octogenarian mother entertains customers with readings of the grinds. But Clare remains skeptical - until she receives a vision that helps her find the body of a young model in the park's woods.

The police dismiss the "sleeping beauty" as the victim of a drug overdose. Then Clare uncovers evidence that points to a roster of suspects, from a wolf of Wall Street to a New York Giant and a wicked witch of the WestSide.

Now Clare is really in the woods - with a dangerous predator on her heels and an investigation that leads from a secret Prince Charming club right back to her own NYPD detective boyfriend. If she doesn't solve this mystery, those magic beans predict an unhappy ending.

Lost the pure mystery of previous books

Pulling in supernatural dreams and “magic” coffee beans did not fit with the characters in this series. The plot jumped all over the place. I have enjoyed this series but there seems to be an effort to just add more “stuff” to the storyline rather than working out a mystery. Will try one more book and see how it goes.

Exceptional series

This one stumped me. You know series like these with lots of books normally get blan, but this series has kept me incredibly interested and wanting to lissen to the next adventure even though my girl Clair is the luckiest busy body their is, but she gets the Intel. Can't wait to see what Mike has gotten into in DC. I really didn't think she was going to go but now it's new adventures. I'll miss the beloved characters in New York though.
ok let's go....

Outstanding!!!

This has been the best book so far in Cleo Coyle's Brew series. What a fantastic imagination this author possesses! I was spellbound and hated being interrupted before I could finish. I imagined so many times I had figured out the who-dun-it, but, lol, she had me fooled altogether. Don't miss this delightful cozy mystery!

One of the best

I enjoy these books a lot.
Claire must decide to stay in her wonderful relationship and leave the blend or stay and end the relationship.
Murder, coffee, annoying ex-wife of Claire's Bo. It's got fun stuff in this one.

Ok

I really like that I had absolutely no idea who the villain was at the end. Some parts were a little cringe worthy. Overall it was OK in my opinion, probably wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Good To The Last Drop

This book has so many layers! I loved how the author built up the suspense and tied it all up at the end. This was probably one of my favorites!
