About this listen

Corporal Alex Indigo, USMC, is a gung ho, professional infantry marine. In the era of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell", he still needs to keep hidden the fact that he is gay if he wants to continue to serve. Trying to keep his private life private, he doesn’t date fellow marines. Combat-deployed to Falluja, Iraq, however, he doesn’t have much outlet for his natural wants and desires.

When he meets Taylor, a fellow corporal, he feels a strong attraction to the handsome, quiet marine. It is hard to hide anything in a combat zone, much less a romantic relationship, and he knows he needs to ignore Taylor, but can he ignore his own heart?

Top notch writing. A real story, not a piece of fluff. would ha've liked a longer story. The war background is genuine and well done. Voice of the narrator perfect for the rough military sequences..

One good stoty

This book was very obviously written by someone who had actually been a Marine. The military aspect was authentic and important.

I'm glad the Don't ask Don't Tell narrative has been rewritten and some have had the chance now to serve open. This was a great story and as a vet, brought back great memories.

Authentic feel and great story. One of the better marine/ military stories I’ve read. It was kinda short, but very impactful.

A milestone in Gay literature. A real, honest, feeling, loving, story of life. Excellent. I am a veteran of the Vietnam War. I was a Corpsman, a medic, and I very proudly served with my Marines. Semper Fi.

As a veteran of the DADT period and a Bisexual I love this and I love that it was realistic on how it actually was.
