About this listen

Frances Walford's daughter, Ellison Russell, has developed the truly deplorable habit of finding bodies. And Frances can't help but scold her about it.

But when Ellison goes to Europe, Frances finds a corpse of her own.

Can she help catch a killer and keep her involvement a secret?

This is a short novella told from Frances's point of view. Chronologically, it falls between The Deep End and Guaranteed to Bleed.

Loved Frances being in the middle of the discovery! Having her a tiny bit vulnerable and how she “recovered” was a new side of Frances and it was presented so well!!

Great surprise

I love this secret that has made its way into the storyline. What an exciting ÷÷twist in the plot when Francis finds a body.

An Unexpected Twist

I purchased the 1st book of the series, then bought them all. The series brings me back to the 70's, the era I grew up in, and it's dead on! The sassy sarcasm, it perfectly read by Callie Beaulieu!

Love the writing, love the reader!

Enjoyed the brief look in Frances’s encounter with a body. Foreshadowing of how she might one day accept Detective Jones.

My only regret about this audiobook was it was way too short. Oh well short but sweet 😊

“Only the Good Die Young” is a delightful addition to Julie Mulhern’s Country Club Murders series. As a later addition to the series, it subtly displays the maturity the author has gained throughout this series but is written with the innate gift of dialogue, characters and humor she has displayed from the beginning.
While this is a novella and relatively short, I found it totally worth using one of my Audible credits. I anticipate listening to it multiple times.
Oh, Frances !!! We already knew you were a schemer, but a fibber too !!! You naughty, naughty girl!!!
I loved this book and ebook. Wonderfully written and Callie Beaulieu’s narrative was perfection. Thank you both. ❤️📚
