About this listen

Jane Campbell avoids confrontation at all costs. Given the choice, she'll always let her husband, Leon - a best-selling thriller author - fight their battles. She'd prefer to focus on the good things in life: precious days with her two young children, a steady and loving marriage, their mischievously playful cat Bonita, and her fulfilling job as a creative-writing teacher. In Jane's eyes, life is altogether sweeter than any individual bump in the road.

But when Leon suffers a brutal attack, Jane has to finally face reality. Who would commit such a hateful offense? Leon has imagined his fair share of crime on the page, and now unthinkable violence has landed on the Campbell family doorstep. With her husband in a coma, Jane must open her eyes to the problems and secrets in her life. Although she might not like what she sees, if she's committed to discovering who hurt her husband - and why - she needs to take matters into her own hands.

I couldn’t stop listening to this book I got it in audio. The narrator was great, the whole story from beginning to end was interesting and kept me wondering what would happen next!

ANOTHER GREAT BOOK BY PAULA DALY

I’m an avid reader and audible listener, and for the past several months, I haven’t been able stick with anything. No matter the genre, the author, or the narrator. Everything was just so bland/been there done that/or the same story that has already been written 10 times before...
This novel finally grabbed my interest, and held my interest right up to the very end.

Finally a book that held my interest

Paula Daly is incomparable in her beautiful writing but she only has a handful of books!!! I am starting a third book but these first two books are the best books I've found out of like 40 books thus far. There's not a moment of dullness in her books What Kind of Mother Are You and this book, Open Your Eyes. I am ecstatic to have discovered her but disappointed she doesn't have more then a few books to read. She is a perfectionist no doubt as her writing seems extremely organized and the plot and story just roll so smoothly and effortlessly. The narrator was also excellent. Please crank out another great book. Now that I've had the best, everyone else will have a hard time impressing me. I've read some of the best authors like Lisa Gardner, love her books Hide and Say Goodbye. I also like Kathy Reich although I find her books quite too technical for my layman's mind. Another great author is Karin Slaughter, Unseen is very good.

OMG ANOTHER EXCELLENT READ!!!!!

I found this one boring. The story seemed more about the day to day burdens than any actual mystery in my opinion. It seemed to go on and on and then just wrapped up suddenly.

Meh
