About this listen
Emma loves Christmas, but this year when her family makes its annual trip to her grandparents' farm, she's in for a holiday surprise like no other!
In this timeless tale of Christmas magic, Emma meets Oskar, the Christmas Tree elf who's watched over her family's trees for generations, and learns about a side of Christmas she's never heard about before. Oskar has a plan to realize his most magnificent tree ever, but to do it, he's going to need Emma's help!
With her new friend by her side, Emma's about to gain a new appreciation for the traditions of Christmas past and have fun creating some new Christmas traditions of her own. Holiday fun, delicious food, a winter storm, and even a surprise gift from a certain jolly old elf are just some of the things that go into making this truly a Christmas to remember.

Story
The architect of The Wizard of Oz delves into the mythological beginnings of the jolly old elf himself. Baum created a mythological world in which the magical forest of Burzee, created at the beginning of time, is the main source of all otherworldly magical power. Ak, the Master Woodsman, ruled the forests; Kern, the Master Husbandman of the World, ruled the food crops; Bo, the Master Mariner of the World, ruled the seas. All other immortals are subject to these three. Baum also created Ryls as guardians of the flowers and Knooks as guardians of the animals of the world.

Studies have shown that developing an “atomic habit” - just doing a few minutes a day of whatever skill or habit you want to take on can be more than enough to engrain it into our lives. Therefore, we have transformed timeless, legendary stories into 10-minute, bite-size chunks long enough to entertain, enthrall, and even educate the youths but short enough to be enjoyed quickly at bedtime or any other point in our busy modern days.

Story
The Waverleys have always been a curious family, endowed with peculiar gifts that make them outsiders even in their hometown of Bascom, North Carolina. Even their garden has a reputation, famous for its feisty apple tree that bears prophetic fruit, and its edible flowers, imbued with special powers.
Generations of Waverleys tended this garden. Their history was in the soil. But so were their futures.
Together again in the house they grew up in, the Waverley sisters realize they must deal with their common legacy - if they are ever to feel at home in Bascom - or with each other.

A fun new Christmas story for kids and adults
Oskar, the Christmas Tree Elf is a terrific new Christmas story. It tells about a family that is brought closer together during a visit to the grandmother's Christmas tree farm. The story is simple enough to appeal to children and it has enough humor and subtlety to be fun for adults. And its ending is moving enough to touch anyone who loves Christmas.
A bonus is that the author weaves in a lot of interesting information about the history and workings of Christmas tree farms. Highly recommended!
