About this listen

War veteran, Tabitha Masters, expected to live out the rest of her days with the debilitating scars of battle. But, after her crew made a deal with the devil (Smuggler's Dilemma, Privateer Tales Book Five), she's been given a second chance. A month in a medical tank and Tabby's injuries are repaired, replaced and even upgraded.

Within hours of being discharged from the hospital, Tabby hears from Shri Ganguly - a fellow veteran and survivor of the Red Houzi war. Shri is convinced she's being targeted and hopes that Tabby can help.

It will take everything Tabby has to recover, while facing down the danger that threatens her friend.

meh....

This was not up to the par of the rest of the series. I'm a little mystified by these mini books. I liked the Big Pete story, this one hit me flat. Part of it was the narrator. I get they are different stories but I don't think I'm going to invest in the other mini books.

Fun little short story

A fun listen, well narrated and a good story. Worth the time to listen to! Personally, I am a member of Kindle Unlimited and this book (at the time I am making this review is "included with" Kindle Unlimited at no charge, with a deeply discounted "Add Narration" feature making it a bargain. I STRONGLY recommend space-opera lovers who listen to Audible sign up for this program, you can get tons of books for very reasonable money this way, 100 percent legit. I recommend this book even though it's less than two hours (I paid $1.99).

Slow it down

It’s a great story but sadly the narrator kinda sucks but there’s hope slow the book down to .8 and she actually sounds good

Nice to have a story from Tammy's point of view.

Laurel Schroeder did a great job as Tammy's voice.
Unfortunately, now that I know the ending, I doubt I will be listening to this story again. No mystery.

A Case Of PTSD.

I was disappointed in narration of this Audible. Laurel Schroeder simply spoke to fast. I had to bring the speaking speed down to .9 or .8. Possibly she needs to lighten up on the caffeine?
Also this short story was, in my opinion, really not needed for the series.

Should be labeled as a novella.

90min is not worth a whole credit. Would’ve skipped it had I noticed it was so short.
