It did what I wanted—to enjoy characters & action

I winced at the moderate to mild cussing, because Mom would walk past my room when I played it loud. She’s almost 85, so it’s about time she learns to ignore it, like people who had to work in the real world; I personally prefer to not hear it myself. Nicely done story; 3 volumes long, with fairly decent narrator. Loved Dog’s versatility.

Start to finish Awesome

I enjoyed the series from beginning to end. It has a great story and awesome narrator. They didn't go into hard scifi but describe enough to keep things intelligent and fun. It does have some vulgarity and adult situations that run the gambit of normal R rated movies but does not have any explicit sex scenes (has a few but doesn't get explicit).

Fun SIFI

This was a very interesting SIFI series. I wish there was more to his story and hope that Rick might continue the story.

Say it correctly

Do you guys not listen to the recordings before publishing them.

This is a great story with very well developed characters. But the voice actor continually mispronounces several words.

Fun and packed

This was a really good read. The characters are endearing and silly. The plot is a bit predictable but has its twist. The fun and playfulness keeps the story worth reading and I caught myself laughing out loud a few times.

Another exceptionally well written series by R.P.

First allow me to admit that I've come to think of Rick Partlow as one of the best sci-fi authors currently writing. So, this review is coming from the perspective of having listened to most of his other works and having great appreciation for them. This is top notch storytelling. It is different from his other works, but easily just as enjoyable, and may be my favorite of all his work. That's really saying something.

He also seems to either have a great producer who knows how to pick the perfect narrator, or he himself selects one with the precision to matching a narrator with the story perfectly. This series is no exception and the narrator is so good that you forget he's not part of the story when narrative perspective changes. The combination of excellent writing with smooth performance is a great experience and I want to thank them for having such dedication to their craft.

In short, listen to this. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this greatly.

The old west with a sci-fi flair

I liked the action, and adventure. It kept me engaged throughout the series. There is a little bit of romance and a little bit of self reflection, but not too much. I enjoy stories that are not to gloomy, or to metaphysical and just straightforward fun.

Great narration, great author

I really enjoyed the series. I am very pleased that it came in a set.
The story unfolded in layers while introducing new, likable characters, and some very bad opponents. The MC is a by the book guy with decent morals, and he has to deal with people harshly when needed, but with some consternation. His friend Dog is a funny, crass, robot badass. He meets up with a naval intelligence officer who is very tough in her own right and both work very well together to save the human race.

What a great series to dive into!

Absolution bk1
Talk about jumping into a story. Well that's what I did with Absolution! I loved this action-driven story as Grant Masterson and his AI dog take down their first bounty.

Retribution bk2
This book was soooooooo much fun. A series of loosely tied together stories (or not too loosely.) The stories, tho they're definitely not high flutin literal works but like potato chips they're addictive as hell!
So yeah grab the boxed set. And join Grant's team as he and his dog track down their next bounty.

Revolution bk3

As Grant Masterson and dog follow the clues that would clear his name of the deeds that he's been framed in. He finds that he's actually digging himself deeper into the conspiracy that's being built against him. He finds evidence and before he gets a chance to exonerate himself from the whole affair... he finds that it's been tainted and released to the public in such a way to make everything seem so much worse.

Vindication bk4

This book starts the action where the last book left off. And things go from bad to worse, for Grant Masterson. As he ends up in the worst penitentiary in the Galaxy! But he's got one of the best teams including his AI dog backing him up.
You'll need to grab this action-driven series to find out how they take on the marshals, the navy, and the orchastrator of the conspiracy.
And through it all Garrett Michael Brown gave us a perfectly nuanced performance.

Here's a couple of quotes, found in bk1, that amused me:

"Live robot sex, as if they didn't see the oxymoron inherent in the term."

"The chain linked fence was looming right in front of us, the pedestrian gate just a centimeter too narrow for our vehicle, metal scraped and polymer ripped the engine screamed and the whole vehicle shuttered until yanked free. Delivered like a baby through the birth canal or another orifice more scatalogical analogy that came to mind."
